Giant discount has always been a good place for me to come shop at everything I can't find out the 99 Cents store I find it here at giant discount they have always been polite and they've always been respectful there's always something to say there's like a story to tell they share stories with you funny stories for any jokes and just make you feel at home I miss my business and I support small businesses as well so I love shopping here a giant discount you get lost in the isles because they don't have the basic stuff they have that other stuff that you aren't interested in trust me you like it in there

Please everyone, NEVER buy anything from this VERY rude owner...I can tell from his face he really hates browsers and mystery shoppers because he has ZERO business while next door 99 Cents Only has all the customers - he knows his store is failing while everyone else is shopping next door at 99Cents. Product selection ranges from typical dollar store merch to a bulk majority of old items that look like they were stuck in the 1980's! I was the only shopper browsing around at the time and he asked me to leave accusing me of "price checking" because I kept notes in my hand. I kept my cool, apologized and casually walked next door to the 99 Cents Only where I actually purchased a few things. All the other dollar bargain stores I've been to lately in the El Monte area (99Cents, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Valley Q Bargain) are very nice and doing just fine except for this particular store. It is obviously the owner is very much afraid of his next door neighbor (the 99 Cents Only store). He should just close up shop for good!

Most of the stuff here is pretty dated. The newer stuff at the store can be bought at the 99 cents store next door for 99 cents. I bought some rubber bands and as I finished paying, the cashier (older man) commented on what was going on on his TV he had on. Kamala Harris was on talking about the border. The cashier said he wished he could tell her to shut up in person and that every country has borders. Yes, if I wanted to hear politics if go on YouTube. Keep your comments to yourself please. I got out quick.

Horrible people behind the counters just no care at all so if you have any questions the sorry excuse for an owner will give you an attitude , even after explaining to him that all I want to do is purchase from your store and still just an a****** . He didn't seem to like woman at all and the woman behind the counter had no voice or he has her on check , either way don't give this piece of s*** your money
