I just went to the Valero on Porter and Main st to cash in lottery ticket. All was well until the employee Jamie says he won't give me cash for my winning ticket since it was a free ticket. I said ok, I understand some people think they can only give a free ticket and not the cash. I said ok, I will just take my tickets to the store near my house and asked for my tickets back. He then became irate and refused to give me back my tickets, he cussed me out the entire time. I said you can either give me back MY TICKETS or pay the cash I won. He called me a stupid bit*# saying he will only give me a new unscratched ticket not the cash or my ticket back. I was in shock to say the least. After he kept cussing and yelling at me I asked him to call his supervisor and ask what to do. He refused and threw the money at me screaming and said the $10 will come out of his pocket which we all know this is not true. I am just blown away by this

Poor Covid protocols throughout pandemic (nosemaskers, bandannas, neck gaiters, etc.), worse now (no masks) during surging Delta than previously. Probably an "avoid" if you have children younger than 12. Employees don't seem to be aware of Delta. Also, $-per-gallon prices are 60c-70c higher than the least expensive stations where competition exists. I would give this station 1 star, but gave 2 because I think the employees are friendly, without bad intentions, just unfortunately ignorant.

The man at the register should watch his manners. I asked him to wear his mask properly because he was talking to me with it down, and he said something under his voice and mentioned something about the vaccine. I didn’t feel comfortable with him talking to me with his mask down, especially as someone who works in service, and the fact that he completely disregarded and disrespected me was not appreciated. Also, this man doesn’t understand customer service. How are you going to print me a receipt that is faded and doesn’t show the the right price that I paid for. 10/10 do not recommend.
