Beware. Unfortunately, I was taken in by a less than forthright proprietor at Trader's Emporium Antiques. I was sold a cabinet that had a significant but hidden termite infestation. When I informed the seller, Sue, of the problem, I was told this is a common condition and was more or less dismissed. Because of the significant extent of the problem, it seems very likely the seller was well aware of the problem and failed to disclose it. In either case she refused to refund my money or allow me to return the cabinet. Obviously no one willingly wants termite infested furniture?

This shop is a treasure! So many great vendors with a huge variety of antique and vintage items. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop for vintage treasures.

Amazing staff whose humanistic understanding appreciative needs! Their motto is: "I understand your antique needs and will find what you need", which is different than most antique shops! They are not only an antique store but they can also repair and furnish what was old to become new and lasting for years while keeping the antique look. They are very rare and must be considered as one of the best if not the number one antique store in all of Santa Cruz and Capitola. They are elite professionalism pleas park and walk I. You will find hidden treasures... is my bank book we're bigger!

Treasures everywhere, great staff and dealers. I wanted to add something seeing the comment about parking, this store was hurt by santa cruz county, they put a red zone in front of this store owned by the same family for 30 + years, without telling the owners. Don't fault the store for this, Santa cruz county and the supervisor Manu Koenig, who should have protected this small business failed them. There is parking in front of the church across the street. Have a healthy walk and help keep another small business alive in Santa Cruz county.

Review is on store owner and how we were treated after purchase. We bought a Seiko watch recently and after bringing it home it stopped working on the first day. It is an automatic watch (no batteries needed) and the only way to really test it is to wear it awhile for it to start working (which is not really possible in the store). We called the store owner asking if we could leave our phone # and a message with the man that consigns his watches in the glass case/near the check out section, and the store owner REFUSED to take our message. We really wanted to speak to the watch seller to try to "resolve". She hung up on me 3 times. Then she left the phone off the hook. Very disappointed that a business owner in Soquel would treat customers in such a disrespectful way on the phone and refuse to allow us to leave a message. Feedback good or bad on product is "daily business" and part of ownership of running a good business. We want the watch seller to have an opportunity to make things right after spending over $200+ on a watch. I told the store owner I was going to post a review and she said she "didnt care", So here it is. Owner - if you'd like to make things right as a respectable local Soquel store owner - please allow us to leave a message for your watch seller. Refusing to take a message is not fair for your customers and not good business practice and I'm sure your consignment sellers would agree.

Was shopping with my daughter today. One of the ladies working today was nothing but rude. That's the second time I've been treated that way there. I will not ever step foot in that store again. There are too many other great antique stores in the same area .

If You are looking for that cool treasure, ya know- that one thing you need for that specific individual that already has everything- then this is your go-to place! They have new stuff all the time! 30-40 vendors all searching for those treasures so you don't have to. I love this place and always find something that I MUST have. Great service, great advice and GREAT TREASURE. Highly recommend! They even had a treat for my dog.
