“I had a great experience at Fleet Feet Aptos. I had been there a few times before actually making a purchase. When I finally did, it was to replace an old pair of Hoka (Bondi style, to be exact). I forgot the name, but described them to her and she knew exactly what I was talking about. I was able to get a pair (even more comfortable than the last pair and they were my favorite to walk/work out in). Overall, the selection is great. The customer service is wonderful and you're able to donate old running shoes (and sports bras!) to this location. I will definitely be back for my gym/walking gear.”

I have been buying props from Renegade my entire juggling career, over 36 years!
I keep coming back to Renegade year after year for many reasons. 1. They carry the best equipment. As a professional, I need high quality equipment that is precise, reliable, and performs the way I need it to.

“We rented surfboards and wetsuits here. Owner helped us and is really friendly and enthousiastic. Good service and quality gear. Gave us helpfull advice about the spot and waves. I would definitely go here again when I visit this nice beach village again :-)”
“We always come here for our snow fun rentals. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The equipment is ok, it seems they are gradually replacing their old K2 skiis. Bindings on the snowboards are mostly old-style Burton's, not the greatest, but fine for occasional boarders. Boots are always pretty good, both ski and board. Rental prices and policies are fair. In the busy season, and for peak holidays you want to get there on time, as they do sometimes run out. They also sell previously used rental equipment at low prices, maybe you want to negotiate a bit. In the store they have a nice collection of snow wear, equipment, board bags, gloves, etc. (Most of it is somewhat above our budget, as real estate is expensive in Santa Cruz, and branded snow fashion always is expensive of course.) All in all a nice non-pretentious place, highly recommended.
Oh, and they are NOT closed on Mondays, at least not during the busy seasons. For instance, they were open today on Monday, April 1st.”
“Great deals to be had at the Santa Cruz Warriors team store. Once a season, deals with Rakuten where if you buy $50 you get a free jacket. This compared to $75 deal with the GS Warriors but a different cool jacket too…. Both great deals! Don’t forget to see a basketball game. The organization is top class with fair prices and GREAT promotional giveaways. The atmosphere is electric . If I lived closer I’d be a season ticket holder but 8-10 games a year and one playoffs”

You can purchase O'Neill clothing just about anywhere, but if you want it to say Santa Cruz and Surf Shop this is one of few original stores in California to get your cool hoodie or surf clothing. “I got some cool men's shorts here! In an ideal world I'd be able to call up a surf shop like this or the smaller ones before a surf trip to Mexico and instead of bikini bottoms there'd be an array of women's surf leggings to protect me from board rash. And lots of rash guards and none of the women's clothing would have any floral prints or pink that would make me look extra basic. There would be bikini tops with clasps and adjustable straps and surf hats to protect me from the sun. I wouldn't have to go on Amazon and mix and match. That being said their women's marketing team is making their stuff less gross unlike the ONeill women's team which believes women should look like they give massages to Epstein (just kidding) and literally should never have fun. Ideally this store would also feature really muscular female surfer models and there would be clothes I could actually wear around the Bay Area for months that aren't four hot days in September. They'd also have tons of cool women surfing short boards and burning bikinis in a bonfire and men would surf in Speedo's but that's the next step of the revolution”
