“I like the Safeway Pharmacy on 41st because it is convenient and fast - there is usually a very short line unlike other pharmacies. There are also private rooms to get vaccinated. The staff is mostly polite and attentive. You can easily get someone on the phone when you call.”

“I have been a customer at Frank’s Pharmacy for years and they are truly amazing!!!! Wonderful staff who know you by name. They will do anything and everything to help you out and no long lines like CVS and all the others. They also deliver for free, which I have used on occasion. Wonderful, local caring pharmacy. I would never go anywhere else.”

“The Good Rx program is amazing. Even with health insurance my medication is expensive. My doctor told me about Good Rx and now I can purchase the medication I need for under $30.”

“I LOVE this Rite Aid because even though they always seem understaffed, they go out of their way to help their customers. Everyone is great there, but this Shout Out goes out to Heather, the manager (I hope I have her name right). So i went into the store today to buy the large bottle of Listerine, and I grabbed 2 of them when I saw a sign saying "2 for $8". Well when I got up to the checkout, the nice customer service lady told me they were actually 10.99 a bottle, and the sign must have been wrong. So the manager and I walked back to the aisle, and she saw that the price sticker sign was in the wrong spot, BUT she gave both bottles to me for $8 anyway, even though I didn't ask her to. Now THAT is great customer service!”

“I hesitate to Recommend Tom's for selfish reasons, I'm always in and out of there in about 5 minutes and I would hate to be waiting in line if more people start migrating there from the horrid chain pharmacies.”

“I have to say that I have had some mixed experiences here having my prescription transferred from my mom and pop pharmacy in my old town to here… several times my old pharmacy had said they transferred and faxed them my prescription and one worker at the pharmacy counter who really seemed like she could not care less (not the pharmacist) just kept saying that they never got the transfer.. she didn’t seem like she really ever looked..after three days back and forth on phone calls to my old pharmacy, and they’re great efforts to make sure that went through to Horsnyders, I finally asked for the actual pharmacist to see why they said they didn’t receive the transfer… turns out it must have been sitting in a pile? In any case, this pharmacist found it after three days of my calling back and forth and my old pharmacy actually calling to confirm the transfer days before… at this point I have sympathy for the pharmacist at Horsnyders… I could tell she was wanting to take care of me and ultimately did. Now, the fun part..I go to pick up my prescription and met the two young women at the pharmacy counter…. Completely indifferent, monotone blank stares at you… not a bit helpful at all and two over worked pharmacists in the back…Curious as to what these two young women are there for but to make a customer feel awkward, unwelcome and probably not serving any other purpose.Having had this experience, I now ask for the pharmacist directly who, this last month had all my transfers filled in a timely manner.….now the only down side is having to deal with those two stone cold faced young women at the pharmacy desk.I would have it delivered if I knew I wasn’t taking up that option for a wheelchair bound patient. In any case… I don’t ever want to have to go to CVS or Walgreens unless I really have to.I like to support small and local businesses. I feel every community should care about that.”

“Thank you Maddie (hopefully that's how you spell your rename)! I was there earlier returning a bunch of clothing I bought online. When I got home I realized one of the items didn't make it onto the return. I called in and Maddie said as able to locate the item that was missed and reimbursed it. No need to drive back down. Thank you!!!!!”

“My vet prescribed an Rx for Methimazole Anhydrous PLO for my 19-year-old cat who was recently diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism Disease. This Rx originally came in pill form but it was ' high drama' for both me & my cat each time she was dosed which was every 12 hours. So the vet changed Rx to accommodate a different application which made it possible to administer the medication successfully w/o the drama. YAY! She directed me to this pharmacy where they hand-prepare the Rx. I highly recommend this pharmacy not only for their ability to prepare medication for specialized cases but their staff was amazing. They are very knowledgeable & gave me very clear & thorough instructions on how to apply & answered all my questions. I was impressed with their professionalism, patience & overall passion for the good care of the animals we love, our precious pets. My cat & I are most grateful to this business. Refills are a breeze AND they deliver. Cool huh?”

“Parking is a nightmare (I think only a total of 4 regular parking spots), but otherwise a great independent pharmacy. Very kind and helpful. They will deliver, too!”

“Kaiser doesn't have a strong footprint in the Santa Cruz area. These offices fill a gap that is left by the lack of a full hospital. Your only other option for full medical serves is to "go over the hill" (aka through HWY17) to reach the San Jose facilities. If you're willing to wait longer for an in person appointment then Scott's valley may be worth it.”

“Just stopped in to grab some things at CVS in Scotts Valley. Maiia was a great help to me and my wife. So positive and friendly. We left with big smiles, feeling good about our visit.”

“My favorite CVS! Everyone here treats us like family. The customer service is superb, and as a disabled customer that means the World to me! They have the hardest working Managerial Staff & Pharmacists anywhere, & they are geniuses at finding what I'm looking for. They do an Amazing job, especially when one considers that they are a smaller store. This CVS is our hidden gem in Rio del Mar!”

“A family member tested positive for an illness late at night. Our physician was able to call in a prescription and I was able to pick it up right before the pharmacy closed. I snagged some supplements and groceries on my way out. The patient was able to promptly start taking their medicine. Overall a very smooth experience.”

“We work with CareMark and Caremark specialty for critical prescriptions related to transplant recipient prescriptions. CareMark or its specialty partner dropped the ball on an important refill which caused my wife to run out. This proved to be a significant time-kill. After hours of calls, customer service frustration, my wife was able to get Caremark to send 4 pills to try to bridge some of the days between when the script was tentatively going to arrive. Caremark, in the late afternoon, sent the script to our local CVS pharmacy. That pharmacy did not have the meds in stock. In an extreme pinch, and under their significant work-load, the Pharmacist at Rio del Mar, Aptos store, contacted another local CVS at 7:20 PM. Both pharmacies at that late hour were inundated with work. The Pharmacist was able to reach Pharmacist (Ms. Thanh) and she confirmed they had the pills. I arrived at the CVS and I was greeted by Michele (Hero). Expecting and fearing the worst, she was amazing. She found the information and swiftly worked with the pharmacist (Thanh) to fill the temporary script minutes before closing. These staffers should be commended. This was not an ordinary script, this was critical medication. The staff, not knowing the importance of the meds nor the time and frustration that had occurred getting to this point - acted with the utmost professionalism, care and follow-thorough - even tho they were buried under end of their end of shift deadlines and work. While most of the CVS pharmacy staff are decent, this service and acumen went above and beyond cleaning up the mishap that was not their doing.”

“I like that the Santa Cruz Kaiser pharmacy is just a five minute walk from my home. I find the pharmacy techs and pharmacist to be professional and kind. I've never waited more than ten minutes for prescriptions to be filled. The only negative issue for me is that they're closed during lunch, but that's pretty easy to work around.”

“This review is for the CVS in target on Douglas Avenue. I went in today to pick up my dogs prescription. The gentleman behind the counter brought it out and it was $90 since obviously my dog does not have health insurance. I was rather taken aback at the price and I did not have a credit card that would take that amount of money. He took it back to reduce the quantity so it would be more affordable and in the meantime tried a different coupon for a dog prescriptions, and was able to cut the price down by 2/3! I was very grateful great service here!”

“This neighborhood Safeway pharmacy is well run with friendly, consistent. knowledgeable staff. We moved all our Rx to this location for convenience and ease. The app is a good addition and makes refills easy and organized. Thank you Safeway!”

“Staff was helpful and informative regarding my appointment for getting my COVID test. I was told that I will receive a email and a downloadable document with my results.”

“There are not enough starts to rate this pharmacy. They are awesome. They fill prescriptions, finding the best price, are courteous and kind. I watched as they went out of their way to help a man with two badly burned hands get his pain pills economically. They found the best price for my medication. It is fun to go in there. One man even showed up in a cat in the hat outfit. I have only had one experience at the CVS pharmacy on 41st and they were also quite good.”

“Next survey. I hope CVS don't ask me about the COVID butt shot on the survey page. But the store was a slam dunk contest winner. I give them a dunk score of 50.”

“I look forward always to my visits here!i am always treated with kindness & respect. All staff go out of their way to help - I think some folks don't realize that on certain says the pharmacy & store have fewer members on board, & of course after lunch & on weekdays they have play "catch up!" Even so, they have always made the time to explain & help me (as a disabled customer this means so much!) They save me from stress & more than once they have protected my health with great consults for new Rx's. I find if I make enough time for them they always do the same for me! - this CVS is our local treasure!”

“I am so grateful that this store is in walking distance from my condo. The staff is helpful, friendly and accepting in working with seniors. I know Walgreens gets a bad rap as a corporation, but the people here locally are working hard to provide personal service with good humor and understanding.”

“Janeva is the best. Normally I use CVS in Scotts Valley out of habit. They couldn’t get my prescription for some reason yet didn’t notify me about it. I went in and they suggested trying Walgreens. Walgreens faxed CVS for the transfer which CVS didn’t respond to. Then Janeva talked to them on phone and got it transferred. CVS said I could only do a 3 month supply but I’m going out of the country for 4 months. The prescription was for 6 months supply. Janeva not only was able to do the 6 month supply but for cheaper than CVS! Normally it’s $120 for 3 months but she figured out how to do it for $80. Not only is she amazing at her job but she’s nice and funny too.”
