I could no longer get my 18 month old to sit for home haircuts and needed help from a pro. My little guy can be super active so I was concerned about how he would do sitting for the cut. The owner clearly knew what she was doing from start to finish. She had all of the tricks ready to go including videos, toys, spare play combs, etc. He was afraid of the clippers, but Paula was quickly able to change plans and did a complete scissor cut. She was so patient, kind and attentive to our lil' man. I think we found our son's forever barber.

Paula has been our hairstylist for over ten years. She is easily the most talented person I have ever had cut and color both mine and my wife’s hair. She is an artist!Her salon is nice and quiet so you receive her undivided attention without a lot of commotion going on. Go see her! I'm usually pretty wary when it comes to a haircut at beauty salons but I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here! I had no issues with scheduling this appointment or repeat appointments in the future and she's very personable as well. Thanks again Paula!

I LOVE my new cut! I told her I wanted my length for the summer months. She advised me how much I should cut and then freshened my layers. The result was amazing. She gave me big bouncy curls & showed me how to recreate the look on my own. She also talked to me about color & I can't wait to go back.

Hard to pin down an appointment. Very unorganized and not good with communication back. Was trying to support a local business, but it was nearly impossible to get a call back. Not sure how a business can be viable with no reliable person running it. Best of luck.

(Pro tip: Call or text ahead, since Hairwaii is open on-demand rather than at fixed hours.) My new short hair makes me sooo happy. Almost a full 12 inches of ponytail were cut (the COVID over-growth)! Paula was very interested in the inspiration photo that I brought in, and she really studied it and executed the requested style faithfully. This hair has made it so easy to go for a swim and just shake off the water, dry my hair with the wind rushing through as I drive or bike home, and miraculously find that I look great with zero effort. It's the perfect "bed-head by design" look for me. (My photos are attached.)

We've been coming here for over 14 years, initially mainly for the boys' haircuts (Paula is great with kids, especially 'fussy' ones), but she has been taking care of the ladies' hair for many years since then. Hairwai'i is not the best place for walk-ins, but it's easy to schedule a time that meets your needs, so no waits! Paula is very personable, and, as said, great with kids and 'first haircuts' especially, as well as adults.

I showed up at 8:30 hoping for a haircut but to my dismay there was nobody there! Besides driving about 10 minutes and having a hard time locating the place the doors were locked within business hours. Very disappointed

My wife and I have been going to Hair Wait for several years. We are always completely satisfied with our haircuts. Paula is knowledgeable and very personable. We always look forward to our haircutting appointments.

We took our 2 year old to Paula for his first haircut. She was awesome with him and gave him a great cut. He was completely content w her. She has toys, snacks, and a DVD player for the kiddos. Highly recommend her!!

Paula is so great with my squirmy three year old! Not only does she avoid cutting off his ears, she also gives him a great haircut!!
