My 2001 VW Eurovan's ignition cylinder broke while we were visiting my granddaughter in Aptos. We called so many service stations in the area but only found two that would even look at it. It was Sunday and we were suppose to head home first thing Monday morning. Dave answered the phone early Monday morning, we explained our situation and urgency (due to my need to be back for my 93 yr old mother), and he said "tow it here". We did and Dave stopped everything and spent 4-5 hours making it so we could turn on and off the Randy Van (as it is known). We arrived at 6:30 PM (well after closing time) and Dave was just putting it all back together. He actually used a part from another VW van that he had in his shop. He explained everything he did and why, said he'd be happy to speak with my mechanic back home, and definitely made us happy to be on the road! And the cost - it was embarrassing - so low that we gave him another $50!!! Yes - he only takes cash but we were happy to pay. I could go on and on about how great Dave was. Thank you! Quick and responsive. Solved the problem in a timely manner! He was able to get my daughter back on the road.

Dave is a very competent mechanic. He saved my bacon on my VW Eurovan. The engine mount bolt had fallen out and he was able to prop up the engine and replace it.
