We walked to this area just a little outside of the Sonoma square and found a bunch of tented vendors with fresh produce, dips and sauces and maybe two or three food trucks. It's nice that they have one available in the area for locals and it's located next to a train depot museum

I don’t like anything that they sell there. Everything is over price and not much stuff at all

Small, but adequate. I would like to see more fruit and vegetable vendors for a greater selection of produce. For me the highlights are the Hummus Guy, the bread baker (try his seeded bread, it's delicious), and The Baker & Cook which offers amazing breakfast and items to have with coffee.I am not a fan of the process employed by the largest vendor...you stand in a long line, often times twenty people, to await your turn. Once you are at their tables, you are not allowed to touch and select the produce you want. You tell the attendant what you want, they select it for you and put them into a large container. After you've paid, your container is placed on another table where you place the items in bags. I like conversing with the vendors and farmers about their produce. Their process does not allow for this. It takes away the fun of shopping direct from the grower. Thankfully the other vendors do not use this method.

Tuesday evenings! This is more like a huge party or festival than a regular farmers market. If you love live music and people watching, it's perfect. There is fresh fruit and veggies, and food vendors selling things like corn dogs and fresh bread. It seems as if all the locals converge to the square for this weekly event. It was very crowded and during COVID, there wasn't much distancing or mask wearing going on. And I'm sure not all of these folks are vaccinated. Bathrooms available but as usual the ladies room had a long line formed outside. A jazz band played on the main stage and people crowded in to listen and dance around. We saw lots of drinking and making out, but nothing sketchy. Lots of families with kids running around. Overall, a fun way to spend your evening if you love a lively environment and aren't worried about the delta variant/Covid. But if you just want to buy veggies and fresh goods, I suggest coming very early on, getting your goods and get out before they begin wildin' out.
