I took my car with a check ✔️ engine light. I had already had done a diagnostic from a auto parts store and they told be it was a miss fire. I took it to pacific and they confirmed it was a miss fired on coil #2, Left my car there they fixed it I paid over$500 included a discount for having a pre diagnostic.
I took the car home. About 5 days later check engine went on again as I was arriving to work and it felt thesame exact way as before . I turned off went to work and when I started my car the check engine was off but I had already called to tell Pacific Rim, I drove the car strait to the Auto shop, they check my car and told me that there was no check engine light and no stored memory that it was on. Told me to go back if it came on again, but the owner I guess looked at me like if I was making this up made me feel uncomfortable like if I was stupit.
My car again had thesame check engine light a few days later, had it check at the auto parts first again and then I took my car in and walked in the shop and ask could someone come out and look at my car to prove the light was on, and the lady in the counter said no, "you can't just storm in here asking for someone to look at your car" everyone is busy, and that I had to schedule an appointment, I was so upset and left, then I got a call later that day they said I could bring it in. On my diagnostic from the auto store shop it was showing coil #3 so I told them, that I trusted them and they should of told me that once 1 coil goes bad then the other will start to go bad, she said we'll we don't want you to do or pay for more than you need too.
But that is my decision not theirs. I was never asked or told this would keep happening. So what their telling me is
Fix one at a time so I have six Coils, that means every time one goes bad I have to pay over$500 for diagnostic parts and labor, how is that supposed to save me money?.
I was very disappointed and their attitude so rude.
Not to mention previously they had changed my front brake and rotors and they have always made a loud noise every time I brake.

I have owed this business a positive review for a while now! Recently moving to town, I was looking for a reputable shop to replace a clutch in my car. After stopping into a few local shops, Pacific Rim was not only the most friendly, but they were the most fair priced as well. My first stop refused to do the work flat out, and sent me to a location down the street, who quoted was what truly an absurd amount.I had started to lose hope when I stopped by Pacific Rim for a quote. Friendly, courteous, and kind, they listened to my specific requests, and said they would call back with a quote. A few days later, they gave me a buzz, and we scheduled my service.My car was done sooner than expected, and has been running great ever since. Having stopped in for the clutch repair, the technician must have also given the car a once over, as the brakes are also performing better - I think a vacuum hose may have come off at some point.Excellent business, fair prices for honest work, and friendly staff make Pacific Rim an excellent business for you to support!Services: Transmission

After helping me with my vehicle to a very positive outcome, I have now returned to this business with my family members' cars as well. The parking lot is always full, and that is a true indicator of the love that this community has for the business. The staff are friendly, the technicians are skilled, and the prices are fair. For my money, there is nowhere else in Sonoma to go!

Amazing service! Had a horrible experience at Gabe’s and brought my vehicle here after. They were fairly priced, fast, incredibly communicative and kind, and they did great work! 15/10 recommend. Thanks guys!

I went for a diagnostic and paid a little over a hundred dollars. Later on when I went to get something looked at again they told me they would not look at my car and allow me to pay for a diagnostic anymore because I did not pay them to fix the problem and went elsewhere and that is my choice. This company will try to force you to pay them for fixing anything if you go there and will refuse to fix your car or look at it later if you don’t. I thought that was somewhat bullish and rude. I don’t have to pay for other services if I don’t want them. If I only want to pay for a diagnostic I should be able to get only that. Very sneaky. Very expensive. But they do do a good job.

Pacific Rim is truly fabulous! After recently moving to Sonoma, I brought my car in for regular maintenance. Unbeknownst to everyone, a part they used when fixing an issue had a defect. I brought my car back when it wasn't running properly and they jumped into action, found the issue, fully explained what happened, reported the defect it to the manufacturer. The damage due to the defective part was significant and they covered the full cost of repair from parts to labor for what the manufacturer didn't cover. They kept me informed every step of the way and were incredibly kind and responsive to my inquiries. My friend's son (total car guy) told me that the work they did and how they acted was of the highest quality. I will continue to make them my go to garage in town. I highly recommend.

First time using Pacific Rim. Very easy to get my smog check done (made an appointment first), and my car was ready in about 20 minutes. Staff very friendly and well organized. I would highly recommend this place.

Just moved to the area and needed 24K service on my Subaru. Their price was better than the dealer's price and much more convenient that having to drive to Santa Rosa or Napa. Note - for regular maintenance you should schedule several weeks in advance as they are pretty busy. They charge 3% for credit cards - so bring a check or cash.

We have been coming to Pacific Rim for at least 15 years. They always do a quality job at a fair price. Always. Isn't that what we all want in a mechanic? Excellent workmanship at a fair price. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We recently moved to Sonoma and our neighbor recommended them. My Genesis is my baby and I have always taken great pains take care of the car. Pacific Rim provided excellent service, very professional. I will definitely go back for ALL of the maintenance on my car.

I got a nail in my tire and needed help. I called and Shannon helped make sure I could drive on it before coming in. For what could've been a stressful situation, $20 and 5 min later Jason had it done and I was happy and safe and on my way! Everyone was an expert and friendly and kind. I can definitely recommend this shop!
