I was referred to Kathy by a trusted Marin County agent that researched the Sonoma market looking for the best possible representation for me. The Marin agent understood that my expectations were high since my career had been in real estate investment and development and that I had been involved in countless real estate transactions. We spent over a year looking for a home in a market that was impacted by low inventory and significant insurance limitations. Even though we faced these challenges, Kathy never wavered in her efforts to help us find the right home and never pushed us to rush our process. Wow. I cannot say enough good things about Kathy. She is not only knowledgeable in her industry and her area, but also in our neighboring Fairfield and is caring and passionate about helping her clients. She handled the sale of our home (from prepping it, to listing it, to negotiating a deal that allowed us to utilize Prop 19) and found us our new dream home. We embarked on this venture before Covid hit and she worked diligently with us while we all navigated the changes that came in the market, Prop 19, and our lives. Kathleen Leonard did an outstanding job selling my mother’s townhouse in Sonoma County. Kathy is a true professional, and made all the right decisions along the way. She assembled a great team to organize and move items out of the house, clean up, stage the house for sale, and create a strong marketing program. Kathy is the consummate real estate professional. She is an expert on the Sonoma Valley market, knows her way through the escrow process and is a great communicator keeping you, as her client, in the loop every step of the way. Kathy has built valuable long term relationships in the real estate community through her integrity, work ethic and overall good attitude. It was through one of her relationships that we were able to buy our house in an off-market transaction at a very fair price in December of 2020 (which was a heated seller's market). And on the flip side, she was able to sell our existing home for $135K over ask in three days.
