A few years ago I bought a Lotus Elan through Rich. It was a basket case, which is exactly what I wanted. Over the next two years I meticulously restored the parts of the car that were within my capabilities. Rich did the heavy lifting; built the motor, rebuilt the transmission, suspension, steering rack. And then he answered every two-sentence email question with a two-page reply, or countless time on the phone! His knowledge of the mark is extensive and likely unsurpassed in the U.S. With his help I now have a beautiful piece of history to rip around in on sunny days. Rich is a great guy, he does everything he says he is going to do. I ordered a 280R kit from Rich and he helped me with the shipping of the kit. Rich was very responsive to any question that I had about the kit and assembly questions. On top of all that, Rich is a great guy! He is very trustworthy, honest and friendly. I am happy I ordered my kit from Rich. Thank you for all your help Rich, thank you for doing everything and more in helping me with my kit. I couldn't imagine ordering from anyone else. Rich built and restored a 1970 Lotus Elan Plus 2 that I purchased in 2018 from a dealer who had bought the car from the individual who had bought it from Rich. Long story, but nothing had been done in the years since Rich had restored the car in the early 2000s for his own use. For those of us who have bought a few old English Cars, the phrase DPO comes easily to our lips, not in this case. Despite having no obligation to me, he gave me info on the build and offered suggestions on things that I might do. For those interested in the esoteric facts of the trade he built a 1720cc Twin Cam on an AX block, an awesome combination that is both reliable and powerful. He knows Lotus. When we get back in the air, I plan on a visit in person. Thanks

I just had a tire replaced here but their customer service was above and beyond. They made time to squeeze me last minute in to look at my car, order the correct tire, and when I came back, they replaced it within minutes, recalibrated all my tires, and were very professional and reasonable. Had some bad experiences with other shops in town, but I can't say enough good things about Metric. Will be back should I have car issues in the future!

A good garage is a must, if you want your older german performance car running and in good shape. A good mechanic is priceless if you want to get the best out of your ride and thoroughly enjoy what it was build for. Speed, performance and the thrill of putting it through its paces. Metric Motors Auto Repair, Bo and his crew. You found both. Personal service and solid work, attention to detail and extra efforts to get it just right and then some. You got it. A blessing to all owners of Jaguars in Sonoma. A local shop owned and operated by a master mechanic who does the work quickly. Unbelievably price conscious when repairing my car! Plus he works on all foreign vehicles. Amazing!
