The owner of this store was extremely rude to our family. He screamed and swore at us when we entered the store and acted like a crazy person. I would not recommend shopping here

My two girlfriends and I just left here. My friend, immediately upon walking in, identified two electric candles she fell in love with. We carried them around the (very small) shop and discussed them the whole time we were in the store. We waited at the register for ten minutes while the one cashier/employee meandered around and stared at us periodically. Finally she came over and said, "I'm sorry, even though there's a price tag, she said they're not for sale." We never figured out who the mysterious "she" might be, but the cashier said, "Yeah, they're the only ones." I said, "There are three others of the same style over there." Cashier: "yeah....". I understand having not-for-sale decor, but it's a little strange it would have a price tag and in such a small boutique that FIVE of the same item (basically an overstock compared to everything else in the store) would not be for sale or the owner could not part with two of them. I then told the cashier "It would have been nice to know this twenty minutes ago" because of our ridiculous wait at the register without being acknowledged and she said "Well I said I'm sorry." Well you also let us stand in your store for quite awhile without acknowledging us knowing full well you weren't going to sell us that item. I had my eye on a couple of other things but I obviously would not buy from them now. I don't understand how such small shops with such rude personnel manage to stay in business and I'm guessing the positive reviews must be from friends of the owner. I wouldn't be disappointed to see this store replaced.

My friends and I have been here a few times and have purchased jewelry and other accessories. J James carries and eclectic and high quality mix of locally and internationally sourced items, including clothes, scarves, soaps, specialty food items, jewelry and flasks. The clothes are not your run of the mill items that you can find in any chain store. They are unique, beautiful and comfortable. The owners are so kind and friendly, always willing to share a story or recommendation for a local gem. When a friend was looking for a statement outfit, the salesperson when out of her way to help her find an outfit that was just right for the occasion. I recommend J James for great service and unique items.

Well, I was actually very interested in this shop until I got inside. I am a textile expert and art, clothing, and special items person. I fingered, looked, analyzed and was told, "Well, you have fingered all the textiles, are you going to buy now?" Actually, I was ready to drop a bundle to this local, but was instead told by my daughter to "flee!" Now, I hope this local shop makes it through these times, but personally you can find the same garments at any special boutique in our area. The ladies need to give a bit more time to their customers and their questions and their interest in their garments. They really lost a great sale! Better next time, I hope!

This shop is special in every way. The merchandise is displayed most beautifully and I basically always want everything in sight! The shop features high end, quality materials and tasteful design. They always have a nice selection of C.P. Shades, which is one of my favorite brands. Accessories like scarves and jewelry also shine!

DESTINATION! On the same block as Reader's Book Store (also a must see/must shop). There are actually two shops, side by side. My favorite is the bigger one with all of the Krista Larson. It is truly an emporium with not just women's clothing but other goodies like things for men, a few books, interesting artifacts which would make great gifts for the female friends and male friends in your world. Both shops are very yummie, but in very different way. Carol and her husband have excellent taste AND they are community oriented two things that in my world view are stellar and mandatory to get my support and adoration! And they have both.
