My dress was beautiful! However the reason for the 2 starts was the dress arrived after my ceremony date. For a once in a lifetime event not having a dress on the day of our ceremony was an awful experience. I trusted the staff at Dare and Dazzle to advise me on the best day to ship the dress as this was a destination wedding. Since this was a small ceremony on the beach we had a lot of flexibility the week we were on vacation--up until the week prior and this dress was chosen year prior to the ceremony so there was plenty of time to chose a shipping date that would allow the dress plenty of time to arrive. Luckily I was able to change the day of the ceremony --but there was no apology given and the dress was ultimately sent via FedEx and that should have happened originally or the owner could have advised me to have the ceremony on a Wed or Thursday so there was not "tight window" to send the dress. I would advise if you have a dress shipped to not rely on the expertise of Dare and Dazzle and to ask for FedEx shipping that can occur 7 days of the week. Shipping that occurs 7 days a week seems like a very simple solutions so a clients special day is not derailed. Dare and Dazzle never apologized for the error and charged the full amount regardless of their error. I think final payment should occur after you ship the dress back to shop

Hein (owner) left a memorable impression on me from my virtual consultation to my official Coretta pantsuit rental. Let me elaborate.
The unique aspect of Dare and Dazzle isn’t just that Hein is a designer, but that the boutique offers sustainable offering such as rentals.
Upon meeting Hein on Zoom, she showed me the beautiful showroom and the designs I was interested. From there, I did the try on process. Each step of the way she was responsive on email and took my phone calls. She had conversations with me and ultimately cared. Hein made me feel like I mattered. Each time I received a package for try ons, and even my wedding rental - she took the time to write me a note. Her calligraphy is gorgeous!
Let’s talk about the Coretta pantsuit.
I felt like a million bucks. Attendees loved the fit. It was comfortable and easy to move in- might I add, I performed a zumba routine in it. And for an added surprise, that's when I did my bouquet toss after the performance! I loved the sleeve detailing and so did others. Most importantly, it felt great - material wise and emotionally.
Dare and Dazzle certainly dazzles in customer service. Weddings sometimes can come across very transactional and Hein made me feel valued.

Such a fun experience at Dare and Dazzle! This is one of the only places in the Bay Area which offers wedding dress rentals! There is a good variety of styles and sizes. The owner understands exactly what I am looking for in a dress and even helped me choose a veil and earrings to complete the outfit. She also offered a complimentary hair/makeup consult with a professional artist during my try-on! Overall I am very happy with everything :) I can tell Hien genuinely cares about her clients.

My daughter is getting married in August 2024 and we choose this shop for her bridal gown. The customer service from her personal assistant Suzanne, was top notch, incredibly thoughtful and professional. We went twice and tried on many dresses, my mom even found her dress! So many gorgeous gowns and styles to choose from. We absolutely had a great time with this experience!

Truly an amazing bridal salon!Hien and Trinh are both so incredibly kind and helpful. I had the best time ever trying on dresses with them! BEST part is that all of the dresses I tried could be custom made to my measurements. They all had the perfect built in bra situations and for a plus size bride like me, I was thrilled with the options!Thank you for such an amazing experience, Dare & Dazzle!

This was the most pleasant and special experience I could have ever imaged. Hein (owner) goes above and beyond to make sure the dress fitting is special, comfortable and easy for the bride and the party. I can not recommend Dare & Dazzle enough. Hien was absolutely amazing! She was super patient when I was being indecisive about what dress I wanted to go with and gave great tips as to what would look good with my body shape. I went back twice on separate occasions after jumping back and forth between the dress I wanted, and I was glad to say that she had a wide variety of dress sizes to fit all body types. I would highly recommend her for anyone that is looking for a dress to rent (and buy) and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much!

I would recommend this shop to every bride there is! My husband and I eloped in December and had a very tight schedule for getting a dress and any necessary alterations. I managed to get into a cancellation spot and was able to pick my dream dress with the owners help. She was very kind and patient with my son being present in the stroller. Her greatest kindness she did me was never actually telling me what size my dress was. I was still pretty freshly postpartum and seeing myself in that mirror to try my dress on was my first real view of my postpartum body and I felt insecure. But the owner immediately made me feel better by helping me envision my wedding day and how beautiful I'd look. She was also an absolute rockstar who got the alterations done quickly and well! My experience couldn't have been better!

I absolutely love this place. Hein, the owner, is so kind and supportive. I went to try on plus-size dresses during the off season and with a shorter time window than most brides. I still had a large selection to choose from and she put a lot of care and consideration into my appointment. In total, I went there two times to try dresses on before finding my perfect fit - off the rack! In total I think I tried on about 7 dresses in my bridal size 20 (16-18 regular). The third time I visited was to pick up my dress for the big day as well as a veil, and did one final look with the dress on in the store to ensure everything looked good and fit well before my big day.Here is why you should go here for your wedding:1. Very communicative staff. Any question, comment, concern was answered promptly and thoroughly.2. Local business that carry cute, affordable, and size-inclusive dresses!3. Sustainable business practices good for both budget-friendly brides and eco-conscious ones.4. The set up of the fitting area. Hein will help you into your dress on the podium in the dressing area, and there are thick blackout curtains that surround the dressing area. It is not a separate room, meaning once you’re laced into your dress, you just pull back the curtain! This means you can continue the conversation with the loved ones you brought with you to your appointment, and it’s not as lonely getting into your dress and walking to the viewing area.5. Along the above lines, since they carry a variety of sizes, each dress you try on is completely zipped/laced/on your body to give you a much better idea of what the finished product looks like. This helped me feel confident in the dress I was choosing as the back was laced up instead of left open like in other bridal shops where you have to try on dresses that aren’t quite large enough.6. Customization! As I tried on a beautiful corset-back sleeveless dress, Hein showed me the options I had if I wanted to accessorize and personalize the dress (which I ended up choosing!) She sewed in small snap closures where I could easily put on or take off the decorative sleeves of my wedding gown for ultimate customization ❤️All in all, I would rate this higher if I could go above five stars. My experience with the fashion industry is tumultuous at best as a plus size bride. Hein at Dare & Dazzle made me feel welcome and loved, and most importantly like I belonged and deserved a beautiful gown that fit well and made me feel good about myself. I couldn’t recommend this store enough.

Perfect boutique for perfect dresses. We were looking for a dress for the bride, and Dare & Dazzle had an amazing selection for any size (18-22 included). Very inclusive atmosphere. Absolutely no problems with anything, even with a tight turn around time. Lovely, comfortable area for picking the perfect dress!

I found my perfect wedding dress with Hien in Dare and Dazzle! When I came into the store, I wasn't sure what styles she had for me and I was really pleasantly surprised that she had a variety of styles (fit and flare, A line, and ball gowns) and even the one I wanted. I let her know what kind of style of clothing I liked and she picked out a few dresses for me to try on.I was also able to rent my dress instead of buying her and I was very happy about this! I didn't want to purchase a dress and have to wonder about where to store her afterwards, so this made so much sense to me. Also the rental process was a breeze and I had a great stress-free time with it.I highly recommend Hien and her beautiful shop!

This was my first experience in a bridal shop and it could not have been more lovely. Hien was so kind, supportive and attentive. She designs each dress herself and has clearly poured so much care and creativity into her business. As I wasn't sure what style I was seeking, she helped me to explore several options and have fun in the process! I love that there is a rental option as I do not want to spend thousands of dollars on a gown I will only wear for a few hours of my life. Also, Hien really cares about sustainability and being eco-conscious in the fashion industry where there is so much conspicuous consumption and waste. I highly recommend booking a consultation with her shop; you will be in compassionate and creative hands.

I found my perfect wedding dress with Hien in Dare and Dazzle! When I came into the store, I wasn't sure what styles she had for me and I was really pleasantly surprised that she had a variety of styles (fit and flare, A line, and ball gowns) and even the one I wanted. I let her know what kind of style of clothing I liked and she picked out a few dresses for me to try on. I ultimately fell in love with 'Pearl' because she's got that je ne sais quoi about her. She's romantic, elegant, modern, and made me feel beautiful! She's also sooo comfortable because she's satin and fit me like a glove. Finally, I was able to rent Pearl instead of buying her and I was very happy about this! I didn't want to purchase a dress and have to wonder about where to store her afterwards, so this made so much sense to me. Also the rental process was a breeze and I had a great stress-free time with it. I highly recommend Hien and her beautiful shop!
