Testimonial / Recommendation of Patty Keiser ~ Wine Country Group My wife had somehow gotten in touch with Patty and she came to the house we were renting and met with us way back in January 2016, when we first started house-hunting. I liked Patty's down-to-earth demeanor and that she was so patient to deal with my wife, whose first language is not English. Later, after escrow fortunately fell through on one property, in which we were represented by an agent who I couldn't stand for his smugness and callousness, I said to my wife "let's go back to Patty!", realizing how much of a difference having an agent who actually cared would make, and sensing that Patty was that agent. Buying a house was a long, tough process. Patty did a stellar job getting us almost all the way through escrow on one condo, before we discovered a deal breaker on our final walkthrough and had to start from scratch again. We never considered for a second that we wouldn't have Patty represent us again, and she was right there, whole-heartedly helping us through the long, slow process of viewings, making bids, all over again. It was Patty who found our new home, and she really went to bat for us, establishing a winning rapport with the seller's agent: the seller accepted our low bid because of it, I think. When we got the pest report that said there was some fungus under the house, and I told Patty I wanted to go into the crawlspace to check it, she crawled down there with me, wriggling through the claustrophobic 24-inch clearance, dirt, and cobwebs. She inspected all corners of the crawlspace. How many agents are going to do that for you? Then there was a problem with our loan, which Patty negotiated extra time for from the seller. Then the fires hit and, while evacuated from her own house, and battling to save her historic family home, Patty was still right on top of getting our escrow closed, once the disaster passed. Patty really fought for us. As first-time buyers, I was clueless and, frankly, nervous about the whole process. Patty was kind, patiently explaining everything, guiding us, taking care of us. I so highly would recommend her to any buyer, but especially to first-time buyers who needed some hand-holding, especially during two very difficult escrows. Patty isn't our agent, she's our friend, and we're very grateful to her for getting us safely across the finish line. After our miserable experience with another agent, who always seemed to be arrogantly laughing at our lack of knowledge and experience, as if we were just supposed to know how the incredibly complicated process of buying a house works, I became convinced that we needed Patty in our corner. Patty is genuine, the real deal. She doesn't just act like she cares, she truly does. Patty called us every single day with updates. Any time we wanted to view a property, she made time for us. When we abruptly decided that a property wasn't for us, she patiently showed us the next one. When we finally got into escrow, not once, but twice, she shared her detailed knowledge of what repairs were necessary, how to do them, and who to call. We couldn't have done this without her. Our house-purchase was a long, tough road, but we had an ally and friend in Patty, helping us whole-heartedly every step of the way. It's a shame it's over, because we won't have daily chats with her anymore! But we look forward to hosting Patty for a celebration dinner once we get some paint on the place. Thanks Patty!!! My husband and I are not new to working with Real Estate agents, and decided to put our past experience to good use in making sure we chose the best agent to represent us in selling house number seven and in buying number eight. We interviewed the top three agents from the top companies in Sonoma, and we're still patting ourselves on the back for having chosen Sheila Deigman as our Realtor! Sheila showed up at our first meeting armed with the same comp listings as the other two agents we had met, but she impressed us immediately when she began discussing nuances not reflected in those comps: our home's very close proximity to the Sonoma Square, its recent high end updates, and the real sense of privacy afforded by the landscape makeover done by HGTV's Curb Appeal in 2004. We were very impressed by Sheila's knowledge, thoroughness and professionalism. We called Sheila so many times with questions and were surprised by how quickly she responded every time with answers and solutions to problems that she communicated with the kind of patience and amazing calm that instantly removed the stress we felt. Sheila really knows what's what and who's who in the area and was able to steer us to wonderful people who stepped in to help with every need that cropped up. The responsiveness and great service we enjoyed from people when we said we'd been referred to them by Sheila spoke volumes about her. We received a cash offer for 97% of the list price in about 30 days. We had not properly planned for such a relatively quick sale, and we needed a rental. Although there was nothing in it for her (other than our gratitude), Sheila went out of her way to introduce us to a couple with a beautiful home we are renting while she helps us find our next one! Working with Sheila has been like having a trusted and loyal friend do all the work in this whole process. A friend who has given us a new deep respect for what "realtor" means! We cannot say enough about how wonderful she is!
