Just what I wanted. Quiet and left alone. Room was great/rustic and inviting. Clean and plenty of space for us both to plan the next days events.

Looks like a nice, relaxing, homelylike, clean & serene place to spend some relaxation time. It's a quiet place walking distance from the tourist area at the Square downtown. It's beautiful and clean.

Our stay at the Bancroft Inn was really nice. Camille was an amazing host and helped us to book everything. This is your traditional B&B experience so you’re sharing the common areas with the other guests which we enjoyed. We played cards in the living room while the other guests had drinks and laughs in the dining room. In the morning Camille set up a really nice spread with pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit for us as well as hot tea and coffee. I would definitely stay here again!

Less than 5 min walk from town square and plenty of great food, wine and beer options. The inn itself is a charming victorian farmhouse with some updates and a lot of original detail. Rooms are rustic and comfy with good quality bedding and linens. Best part was a very nice inn keeper who was very attentive and the pretty spot on breakfast with berries and very fresh pastries.

I cannot recommend this inn highly enough! Though I wasn't able to stay due to wedding logistics issues, Cale was extremely helpful, the property was lovely from the outside and a great combination of tradition + modern conveniences on the inside, and the location cannot be beat. If you'd like privacy and a home from which to explore Sonoma town, county, and surroundings, this is it!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Kale, the individual who my wife talked to at the Bancroft Inn was super creepy and rude. I’m glad our reservation was canceled due to an error on his end. You’ve been warned. The owner, Kale, is a psycho!

This is amazing place to stay! Clean with high end linens. Owners are super nice and accommodating if we had any needs. What a great location... walking distance to downtown with lovely shops and eateries. Grounds are peaceful and well manicured. Weather is wonderful in Sonoma. So many wineries in the area. Can’t wait to go back!

To start, no one likes being accused of stealing. Within 10 seconds of us turning in our keys, the innkeeper rushed out to tell us there was a book missing from our room and accused us of stealing. I parked the car to head back in to help look, which is when she came out saying she had found the book and that it was "all good". However things were not "all good" as the fact remains we were called thieves.Throughout our stay we were talked to like we were children by the innkeeper since we were younger than the typical inn guests (we are in our mid 20s) meanwhile other guests were treated exceptionally right in front of us. We were told we couldn't be in the common areas due to COVID protocols but other guests were allowed to drink and socialize in the living room and outside area.As far as the rooms ours was fairly comfortable however without any fans or AC during the day it got fairly hot. The walls were also paper thin so you could hear all the guests. Lastly our light fixture in the bathroom was wired incorrectly, so upon bumping it with my hand while getting in the shower I was delivered a nice little shock.Overall our experience was not worth the substantial amount we paid for, we would have been better off staying at any other B&B.

Lovingly cared for historical home short walk from Sonoma's famous square. Our Wisteria Suite was charmingly decorated with great attention to detail. Bed and bath linens were luxurious and the bed super comfy. Backyard was a

I researched places to stay in Sonoma for our honeymoon, and thought the Bancroft Inn would be perfect! Centrally located, cozy, great reviews--it checked all the boxes. Unfortunately, we didn't have an opportunity to stay at Bancroft Inn, because our reservation was cancelled four days after it was booked. I received this message: "I'm really sorry but we had not gotten our calendar updated and we have a group staying with us the first night of this booking. Is there anyway we can just host you the second night of your stay? Otherwise, I am so sorry we are unable to host you here."The essence of running an inn is keeping an up to date and current calendar; we were informed of the double booking four days after making arrangements online. While the inn looked idyllic and I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, it seems as though an opportunity for a group booking presented itself after we made the reservation and our reservation was cancelled to make room for others. I tried calling Bancroft Inn for discussion but it went straight to voicemail. Our experience with Bancroft Inn was disappointing.

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews especially during COVID times and especially not for a small owned business, but the Bancroft Inn left me and my partner with a sour taste in our mouths. From the moment we checked in the innkeeper an older woman who never introduced herself to us was very short and to the point with us.No worries, we both work face to face with people so that wasn't an issue. We stayed in our room most of the time and went to sleep no later than 10 p.m. despite this the innkeeper rudely tried to shoo us out of the kitchen yesterday at 8:30 when getting our bottle of wine open for dinner, apparently because of covid regulations. The big kicker is that there were people in the common area after us sleeping and drinking maskless yet not a peep for them to leave. She also went to tell us for no reason at all that someone left the fridge open all night, which felt almost accusatory, but we bit our tongues and went straight to our room. The final cherry on top happened just a few moments ago where we checked out on time at 11am and everything was good until the innkeeper ran out to the road and stopped our car to ask what happened to a book that was in the room and if we took it. Taken aback we tell her we never saw a book. She says word for word, "oh well that's okay because I took photos"Good??? We awkwardly pull back up to the front and she says it was her "mistake" and that the book was in the room after all. This is super unprofessional and nothing is more humiliating and infuriating than someone accusing us of stealing! The treatment from the beginning to end was unacceptable and we were only young professionals on vacation. I don't know if it was our age, or the fact we have long hair, and tattoos, or because we are an interracial couple, but I do not recommend this place and would urge others to go to a much nicer b&b.P.S the chandelier in our room the vallejo room will shock you if you bump up against it when it's turned on.

Kale at Bancroft Inn was amazing during this COVID pandemic. Our group was out of state and he was so kind in accommodating/working on a solution with us since we weren't able to go! I 100% plan to go stay at his beautiful Inn in the future!
