I have banked with First Bank for over 20 years for both my business and personal accounts. They use to be a friendly hometown bank. They are no longer! For the last 6-12 months I have had one problem after another and no one in the branch can help. You are now sent to "corporate" who gives you the typical "big bank" run around. I am in the process of moving both my business and personal accounts to Mechanics Bank who is still operating as a hometown bank. To top it off they are now in the process of going "teller-less" and will only have ATM machines. Good bye and good riddance First Bank.

absolutely horrible service. i’ve had issues in the past with this bank of not giving me specific directions to the point where i’d have to go all the way to santa maria to get some decent customer service. i just called asking about my online banking and was left on hold for a very long time. called back but hung up before i could answer, then when i finally got through i was asking for help and went to go grab my information and explain what was going on with my card, i was hung up on. DO NOT BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE.

The staff is friendly, accessible and helpful. That has not been my experience at other banks. They greet many of their clients by name and seem genuinely glad to have you as their customer.
