Well, apparently the store does not care about customer service! The woman working behind the counter today February 17 at 2:50 PM was the most rude person I’ve ever dealt with. I walked in with a box said hello she did not say hello back. She wouldn’t say one word to me until I pulled up my QR code to return it and her first word words to me were “you know when it says it’s supposed to be packed that means including tape” I said oh I’m sorry can you put a piece of tape on the top of the box and she proceeded to tell me that the owner does not want them giving away free tape and that she needs to charge me five dollars for one piece of tape. I said fine I’ll go get you five dollars went out to my car, came back in with a $50 bill and she said “seriously?” I was so embarrassed I didn’t even know what to say back to her. In a very exasperated tone, she said, just forget it. I’ll do it this time but next time make sure you tape it!!There were three or four other people in the store, and it was humiliating to have a woman be so rude for no reason… I did not know that I needed to tape the top of the box, I’ve been to the store many times before even before the new owner bought it. I met him right after purchased it. I came in to do a shipment to Europe and he didn’t know how to do it because he was so new on the computer, so I went around the counter and did it for him and we laughed and he thanked me profusely. I’ve done several shipments with them, but I will not be doing any more. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere!! That woman has no business working with the public.

I lost $31.56 for a prepaid RETURN LABEL. UPS owner himself failed to include the return label in the package, so my customer got stuck paying for the package return (which I then needed to reimburse, of course). After all this hassle, and with my full documentation, the owner of Solana Beach UPS Store failed to admit his error and did not refund my money. Unfair business practice!!

The lady was quite rude, very poor customer service. Would not tape up the top of a box for me for an Amazon return, had me go back out to my car to get tape to do it myself. Seriously, you can’t spare 10” of clear packing tape? No one else was in their store, there was no line, it was simply lazy. She appeared to be doing something on her personal phone while I walked back out, dug through trunk to find tape, then taped the top of the box myself (it took one single piece of tape).

Don’t find the gentleman here that friendly or helpful. Prefer the UPS in Carlsbad on Avenida Encinas.

I visited a UPS location that I had never been to before. I was shipping a concrete pot, and the representative charged me an additional $33 for packaging, over and above the shipping cost. My customer received the pot today, and it was shattered. I do not recommend this store. The Del Mar location is much more friendly and knowledgeable.

Had to ship out an Amazon return and had great customer service. I didn't know exactly what the process was or what I needed to even return my package, but the lady who helped me explained the process and provided me with all that I needed. Great job!!!

Maybe I've just been lucky in the past, but the box with my return has always been sealed as a courtesy for me at the UPS Store.This trip, I needed about 24 inches of sealing tape instead of the usual 12 inches. I was told that the extra 12 inches of tape was too much tape to seal my box as a courtesy this time.So, I could pay to have the person at the counter put the tape on the box for $3.00, or I could buy a tiny roll of tape for $6.15.I bought the tiny roll of tape.And, I realized I would never be using this UPS Store again. There are plenty to choose from.

Terrible service, very unpleasant owner. Rude and unhelpful. Any other UPS have never had an issue providing pieces of tape to secure a parcel. Apparently a few inches of tape is too much to spare for this owner.Save yourself the trouble and pick a better UPS office for your shipping needs.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The Asian guy who I presume is the owner is an absolute ass-hat. Completely rude and dismissive when I came in with a prepaid UPS label to ship an item. I have utilized this store a lot over the years and since he came onboard the service has really suffered. The teens that work there are all really nice and helpful so this review in no way a reflection on them. This guy and his salty attitude has forced me to take my business elsewhere. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt... maybe he was having a bad day or maybe he came to the realization that being a small business owner isn't what it's cracked up to be. But nope... I've given him a few chances and now I'm just out.

Came here for notary with an appointment online, the owner Jay heard about my mistyping on my paper, tried to help me fix it on his computer since the store only has printing service but not editing. Knowing that I have to head home for editing, he patiently waited for us to come back and helped me and another customer for notary that day. Highly recommend this location for service, sometimes the waiting line could be long but he allows people who only drop off the package and ask for no receipt to jump the line and leave the package. When it's our turn, he asked us if it's okay to take care the lady who's behind us first since the notary is slow and she's only drop off something. I saw many other reviews and I don't relate that to the man we met. Thanks to Jay for his help on our notary service, will definitely be back in the future.

I have been going to this UPS store in Solana Beach for many years now to ship out items. I always have confidence that this UPS store provides excellent customer service and handles our packages with care. I have ultimately never had any issues except for one item that accidentally was damaged during transport. The claim was a bit challenging, but Jae the manager was very helpful during the process with UPS corporate. This ensured more trust in the store to ship items and handle your needs.

Liked the customer service and shipping service.They packed my box professionally and with care. Advised me the difference between customer packed as no label in Amazon drop off. Offered me a complimentary tape for this time for my drop off which I appreciate it.Next time I know now some of the Amazon drop off does require to tape by me. Thank you

Had an appointment for 9am, waited until 930am to be told that the owner had blown off my appointment for notary services. They're slow and careless and don't care about your time.
