What a pleasure it was to work with Susan Spath of Kern & Co. in Solana Beach during the recent remodel of my La Jolla Condo. Susan guided me through the selections floor to ceiling; She helped me decide the paint color, type of flooring and bathroom tile giving me confidence in my choices and adding beauty and value. The design advice and help Susan offers is priceless when there are so many major decisions to be made. With so much furniture in the store I was able to have many pieces delivered right away. Kern & Co. went over and beyond to assist me.

We stopped by unscheduled as the store was closing. The young lady closing up allowed my friend to explain that he was connected to one of their suppliers in NC, was here on vacation, and would really like to see the pieces on display. We got a warm 'yes' and were graciously shown around. With this type of care shown to strangers I can only imagine how their clients must feel. Thank you for the hospitality!

We have been working with Susan Spath and Genny Chale of Kern & Company for over 15 years. They have helped us remodel two of our homes here in Del Mar , as well as, our home in Houston.Susan was instrumental in our recent design/build of our new home in Del Mar. She reviewed our plans to insure that every detail, from electrical,lighting, views, flow and furniture placement was taken into consideration by our architect.Susan provided us with detailed drawings of all our cabinets, space interiors and design, so we could visualize how everything would turn out. Susan even went so far as to share her professional contacts, so we knew we had a team of elite professionals helping us every step of the way. Even after the project is done, they are willing to offer their clients any assistance required.We always feel that by using Kern & Company the project was completed efficiently without cutting any corners and making unnecessary mistakes.Every member of their team treats the project as their own home, and gives us the confidence to use them time and time again.

I am not one for posting reviews, however I had to share my exceptional experience at Kern & Co. After working with Carol over a course of 5 months to revitalize my home, I finally have a home I am excited to live in. The entire process was easy and flawless. She addressed every one of my concerns and kept me in the loop with everything. I had more of a say throughout the process and felt like I was finally working with someone who is truly knowledgeable in her field. Thank you Carol and the team at Kern & Co!

Kern & Co. is fantastic! The selection is not only plentiful, but is of great quality. They truly go above & beyond in helping you with design, procuring furniture as well as thinking of all the details. In fact, there are things that I wouldn’t have selected on my own that I am so pleased I did. They sort of pushed me a little outside of my comfort zone, which is a sure sign of a great designer, and I have some incredible pieces in my home to show for it. Everybody there is really kind & welcoming and I’m so grateful for their help. Starting with Viviani who does magic on her drawings allowing my vision to open up on paper, to Susan who is incredibly talented at “seeing” spaces that aren’t even built yet. Cinthia, Chloe & Maddy are the shakers & movers that make miracles happen in so far as timing and the little things you didn’t even think you’d need. The ladies at Kern & Co., both individually and collectively played a huge part in making our house a home for our family to enjoy for many years to come and we are so thankful.

Best interior designer in all of San Diego!!! I am absolutely in love with my home, it is everything I ever wanted and more. Not only is she an extremely talented designer, she truly cares about her clients. She spent time trying to get to know me and really understand what I wanted. She made the entire process so stress free and helped every step of the way. I 100% recommend Susan, I promise you will not regret it.

Amazing store! Friendly and knowledgeable staff which was the best part about my experience. Susan Spath at her Kern and Co store went above and beyond to meet my interior design needs, which consisted of going under budget for my living and dining room necessities as well as exceeding the completion date! Highly recommend to anyone wanting the best in interior design and products.

Shopping around for furniture can be extremely stressful and time consuming, but Susan Spath at her Kern and Co store made it a breeze! The staff was knowledgeable and genuine, and I can't emphasize enough how talented she was when putting together the design for my new living and dining room. I'd highly recommend for any interior design/furniture needs.
