A lot of restrictions on what can be dropped off. Certain weight limits, nothing with batteries, etc. also, no express drop off. better off just going to the postal annex.

Nice size Vons located in Solana Beach. They belong to the same group as Shaw's, which we shop at in Rhode Island, namely the Albertsons Grocery Store chain. In 2022 Kroger and Albertsons proposed a merger (they are the #1 and #2 grocery chains the country) which is still pending lawsuits and anti-monopoly concerns.This particular store had a lot of sale items and we were able to grab their weekly flyer right as we walked in. Their pharmacy and health & beauty section are not too large, but they carry many of the basic national brands as well as their Signature private labels. Their self checkout cash registers provide an option for those who don't mind self scanning their own items.

This review is solely for James who was handing out pick up orders. He really went above and beyond with customer service and wanted to share. Young kid with long blonde hair. I wish him the best in his endeavors

wish I could say nice things about this location but I can't. I've bought meat from the butcher that was pink on the outside and brown on the inside, I've bought meat from the butcher that went bad the next day. The produce at this location is also poorly circulated and often goes bad quickly. I bought a piece of sheet cake today and it was stale. Before I buy anything I check the packaged date or the expiration and often it's expired and about to expire because they don't rotate the prepared foods. The staff seems overworked and miserable and it's shows in the quality of the items being presented for customers to purchase. Solana Beach is a nice area and the prices reflect that but unfortunately the quality doesn't. Don't waste your money and go someplace else.

Very bad customer service they use Uber to do their delivery, I got a call from bobs as Uber request I went there and they associate told me to bring two cart I asked why she said this order is HUGE so when I brought the cart they filled up with 8 case of water plus Bubbly also 7 case I got so shocked I called the customer told her that I'm Uber driver not a truck driver she also was shocked she was like why they sent Uber driver to do this delivery she said I thought their truck delivery driver will deliver with thier special delivery cart I took me 40 minutes to finish the delivery PLEASE DON'T USE UbER service if you have big order

I won't be returning to this Vons! My husband and I were coming home from a day trip on Nov 11 and stopped here instead of our usual Vons. At first it looked like a great location. Super clean and spacious. I went to the restroom before we shopped since we had been in so much traffic coming down from Orange County. There was either glass or plastic shattered all over the floor of the bathroom so I went to go find someone to alert them. People sue so easily these days, and I wanted Vons to have the chance to clean it up immediately. I couldn't find anyone who wasn't busy with a customer so I walked back to the meat counter where my husband was. I told the employee and asked him to call someone. Even though there were no other customers for him to help, he looked at me square in the eye and said, "I cannot do that." Really?! There is no possible way for you to alert someone at the front of the store that there is a problem? So we looked for someone else and saw someone stocking the shelves. I told him and he said, "Okay, I guess I have to go deal with that." He was obviously super annoyed and didn't thank us or apologize--he just walked away in a huff. The Vons was nicely laid out, which earned it one star. The other star was earned by the guy from the hot deli section. He should train all the other employees because he was actually helpful, kind, and efficient. I know things are still weird from COVID, and I hate giving bad reviews, but this was just unacceptable. I will be avoiding this Vons in the future.

DON'T drop off FedEx packages here! Major failure. Dropped off Wednesday, June 1, at 2:43, info sent to FedEx at 3:28 p.m. June 1, so assumed all was good. Package must have been misplaced inside the store because it wasn't picked up until 3:44 p.m. two days later, today, Friday, June 3. Our delivery needed to arrive Friday, June 3, so the recipient had important papers for leaving on a trip June 5. The papers won't arrive until June 6 after the recipient had left the country, without his papers. Very damaging failure. UPDATE JUNE 4 -- My wife stopped by there today. Manager admitted that the package was put in the wrong place. Not discovered for one day! And she was rude. Said we need to check that it was put in the right place when we dropped off the package! Whew!

I went to the deli at 7:45 Monday evening 3/14/22, the man behind the counter made eye contact with me but never acknowledged me. He was stocking or doing inventory with another employee, a woman, so maybe they figured selling products wasn't a part of their job description. When I was not greeted the first time I went back again, same lack of awareness by both employees. Needless to say this is unacceptable, rude and demonstrates a lack of concern for increasing sales. There are other great delis in the area, no need to settle for a mediocre product and zero service from these irresponsible simpletons anymore.

This used to be our favorite Vons when we lived in Del Mar twenty years ago. When we shopped here this week for Fab Friday, the store and service were a large disappointment. Yes, we did get the items we wanted. But the store is low-lit and badly in need of a major renovation/remodel. There were long lines at the check-outs with less than half of the lanes open around 5:00pm. And for the first time in over a year, I encountered a cashier who had trouble handling a Vons eGift card ... and her name tag indicated that she was a front-end manager.

FAST PIT STOP ! I zipped down here around midday to pick up a can of red kidney beans....my secret ingredient in my delicious home made spaghetti bolognese. And I love red kidney beans !
