They use cheap wood vendors while charging high end price. The load I ordered didn't have one piece the same length. Home Depot quality Lumber.

This “hardware” store doesn’t carry metric hardware. You will find lots of holiday decor though.

Very unhelpful - I brought two cuts/ samples of moulding that my contractor gave me to match external door moulding. Staff could not have been less helpful and although I explicitly said I was matching moulding for a door they sold me baseboard for the internal moulding. Also, the external moulding had to be cut to add a chamfer. Overall staff were disinterested, unhelpful and sold me incorrect material. I am not a contractor (I got the impression the staff are only helpful if you are a contractor) so have to trust the staff for purchases like this - that was a mistake in this instance.

Normally this is an excellent place with good advice for products/projects. Two very young "teen" employees were anxious to help me pick out caulking and a caulking gun. The 2nd teen male employee came up to me a made a sexual innuendo about the caulking gun. I was highly insulted and outraged! I complained to management and the teen employee just stated "he didn't mean it". I asked why? No answer. I requested a response from higher up management and heard nothing back. Teen employee should have been fired.

This is my favorite Dixieline. We (West Coast Deck) are an outdoor living contractor (decks and patios) based in Solana Beach. This location is not massive but they’ve done a great job at stocking the best materials and selection for the specifics of coastal north county. I’m probably here every other day and the staff is smiley, kind, and super helpful. The yard guys work their butts off to get you loaded and on your way quickly, and the inside team in knowledgeable and professional. Couldn’t ask for me. Also the pita place around the corner (Micheline’s) is ?. I did get in trouble once for making an illegal u-turn by the CARL’s Jr so be careful.Apparently I got one of the yard guys in trouble because I posted a video on our company instagram of him standing on top of a pallet of lumber to reach some material for me. I’m sorry, yard dude. If the bosses are reading this, he was incredibly helpful and kind, and I’m more likely to spend money with you in the future because of his help, FWIW.Anyways, a good spot. Five stars.

If you're going to Dixieline for quality and customer support, DON'T. You will get neither. We spent over $12,000 on windows and doors there and had nothing but trouble. Jeld-Wen doors warped. TM Cobb door warped. Wood clad windows warped. Screens stretched. Screens not delivered. Inadequate service men that could not define the problems even after several onsite visits. Absolute worst customer service I've ever had from start to finish. We thought we'd pay more to get better. What happened is we paid more and got screwed. Go to Pine Tree lumber for fast, efficient service and customer service that ACTUALLY believes The Customer is always Right. Sorry Dixieline. I gave you every chance and you failed me every single chance you got.

If are ordering windows, doors or sliding doors, Dixieline will file a right to place a lien on your property despite having paid in full. They state this is a "best practice" which is only in their favor. I've ordered from other companies that do not do so. Combine this right to place a lien if there are any issues with their unwillingness to deliver to customer expectations. While I was sold on Western sliders being on a quality equivalent of Fleetwood, my sliding doors came engineered to cover the fasteners. On black frames, I was provided with silver fasteners. Dixieline and Western's solution was to get a permanent sharpie to color fasteners. Unreal spending over $10k only to be told to get a black pen and deal with an unfinished look despite the product being engineered to have covers. I ended up ordering Fleetwood covers that fit into the frames. I would never order from them again outside of a basic lumber run. Western windows, western doors, western sliding doors

Tad and Tobias were sooo helpful in repairing a Christmas reindeer I love. I had tried but no success and took it to the Solana Beach store and they fixed it for me. Will go there from now on. Home Depot gave me a glue but didn't work!
