overall I think your pharmacy is pretty great. However there is one lady at the checkout who speaks with a foreign accent that is very rude in speaking to customers. Not only to me but I have heard this from other people. Michael is an outstanding tech. He is always polite and answers any question . If he doesn't have the answer he will find out no matter how long it takes him. I have been dealing with Michael for a few years now and he hasn't changed from the time I started coming to the Rite Aide pharmacy until now.

I was at Rite Aid picking up medicine , and I met a wonderful pharmacy Tech named Penny . She was covering for someone and she works in the Santa Paula Rite Aid usually . She was very sweet and helpful . I wish she worked at our store all of the time !

My mom, aunt and I had were in the area shopping and really wanted some ice cream. It was 9:30pm on Saturday August 20th, this particular location closed at 10pm. As we drove up, we see 4 people walking out with cups of hand served ice cream so we thought alright they are still serving! Literally seconds after the 4 people walk out, we walk in. The girl that was working that night had still had her gloves on proceeded to walk away from the ice cream counter and asked if we wanted ice cream we said yes please! She then stated "oh well you can only have packaged the hand served is closed." My mom stated well 4 people just walked out with hand served seconds before we walked in. The worker took off her gloves and continued to walk in the opposite direction of the ice cream area. I had made a comment out loud "well I guess we're the wrong skin color to be coming in here at night asking for some ice cream." Out of all of the Rite Aid's I have gone to in my life this is the first time I had been denied service and look at with disgust. I know people will say well it was almost closing time so they close the ice cream area earlier. I have been to other locations just before closing time and have never been denied service like this. When I have been in a Rite Aid location and walk by the ice cream counter when it is "closed" 9 times out of 10 they have lids on the tubs and the coolers are closed. This location it wasn't like that. I just really feel like she didn't want to serve my family and I because of our skin color. I could be totally wrong but for my mom and aunt to feel the same way just validated it for me. Maybe the Rite Aid Corporation should have some customer service refresher courses done for their employees. Also maybe have some signage out on the entrance doors that state when the ice cream service area closes so no other customers have the same experience my family and I did.

Been coming this Rite Aid for decades!!!! The store needs to sell more items, things are generally pricey so it's good to coupon here or look for specials. However, the Thrifty Ice Cream here is fantastic! A wonderful weekly Summer treat!

I really want to thank the pharmacists who helped my son get his second covid shot today(4/27/2022) and his first covid shot four weeks earlier(03/30/2022). My son has autism, high anxiety and is nonverbal. Getting his blood draw, shots etc is highly stressful for him. The anxiety and panic stops him from listening to anyone around him and he can throw a fit or tantrum. The only thing that can help him during this time is patience, non judgement, love and reassurance. The pharmacists at this Rite Aid store #5787 in Simi Valley are the most patient, non-judging and caring people I have ever met. Thank you for being patient with my son, talking to him, believing in him and helping him get his shots and overcome his anxiety. World needs more people like you.

Called to see if there was an item in stock. I wasn't going to based on past experiences calling stores to check stock, but my husband talked me into it. An employee named Mike went above and beyond helping me. So professional and kind (I have a terrible head cold). Great employees like Mike deserve to be recognized!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MIKE

I have stopped by this Rite Aid at least once a week since the pandemic started. They have an Amazon delivery locker, "Harrison." in the back, right next to the pharmacy. They were one of the first places to offer the Covid vaccine in Ventura County (by appointment). They have always maintained high standards when it comes to social distancing, and ensuring that all employees are taking every precaution to make customers feel safe. Initially, this was one of the best places to go for cleaning supplies during the shortage, or anything that would help students and/or people with children who were conducting school at home. From the start of 2021, it seems that the prices of their cleaning supplies has increased substantially. I recently noticed their cleaning supplies prices were out of control, and saw Lysol cans selling for about $8 for the Small can, and around $10 for the large can, and any grocery store down the street will have them for around $5 (large can). You can find things there, but they are definitely taking advantage of the pandemic situation. It also takes forever to get ice cream at their ice cream counter, but their employees maintain professionalism and a great energy. It's what keep me coming back to shop for certain things, but not their cleaning supplies.

There's nothing special about this Rite Aid. Pretty big and has a decent selection, but it's kind of run down and needs a revamp. There is always a long line to check out, which is bothersome but not enough to deter me from coming here. Pretty decent pharmacy, I go there for that reason. I LOVE thrifty Ice cream and always recommend that to everyone.

f you have other Pharmacy you can go to please do so and avoid this Rite Aid Pharmacy. The Pharmacists here, an elderly gentlemen, is down right incompetent and should really retire. I came in to drop off a prescription and was told by this pharmacist it will be ready in 20 to 25 minutes. So I decided to hang around the store and wait it out. After 25 minutes, I came back to the counter to pick up my medication. When I got to the counter, the elderly gentlemen asked me if my prescription was of liquid type and I told him it was clearly written on the prescription to take 1 tablet a day so how can it be of liquid form. He went to the back and came back to tell me they didn't have it in tablets. Yes, this pharmacist just wasted 25 minutes of my time and didn't even bother to apologize. Avoid this Rite Aid Pharmacy !!!!!
