They had severed my dog's arm after an improper surgery. My dog had passed away because of this mistake on their end. When I contacted the manager, he was discriminatory and racist. Do not take your loved pets here. They will not be returned the same. RIP Tilly. They killed my dog.

I am a dog rescuer and also have my own dogs. I have used Dr. Sherif over many years and have been VERY happy. I feel he is smart and cares...and the pricing has been fair enough. So for those visits, I'd give him 5 stars. I also want to share one not so good story where I would give no stars. Our dog was limping on her back legs so we took her to Dr. Sherif. Dr. Sherif doesn't do knee surgery but they liaison with an orthopedic surgeon who looked at the x-rays and told us our dog absolutely needed surgery on both knees for a cost of $10,000. We decided to get a second opinion, which was the same. We decided, before moving forward, to visit a Dr. Raviv Balfour at VCA Animal Specialty in West LA. Dr. Balfour said yes, our dog does have 2 torn ACL's but the surgery may not be necessary. He suggested we try Medicam, an anti-inflammatory, for a month or so and see how she responds. Within a few weeks, our dog completely stopped limping and has not limped since, and that was about 2 years ago. Getting a third opinion saved us $10k and saved our dog an enormous amount of pain and suffering. Bottom line, if you are told your dog needs a big surgery, and you aren't sure, get more opinions!!!

I just left this place. I had first asked on the phone about spaying my dog. They told me the limit was 50 pounds. She weighed 47 when I got there. I had an appointment at 10:30. I arrived on time and they took my dog in and put her in a cage. After waiting a full hour, I asked how much longer it might be. I was told a few minutes. At 12:15 the receptionist tells me the doctor doesn't spay dogs over 40 pounds. ----after waiting almost TWO hours when they knew why she was there for a pre-op and blood work appointment. I WASTED hours of my time. Be aware if they set an appointment for you, you may be waiting for hours. On the sign in sheet, they only had 3 animals all morning and they never said there was an emergency causing delays. So unprofessional. This not a animal hospital. Its just an office hour clinic.

Let me start off with this. I've had my little man here for the past 12 years. And Doctor S is the absolute best. Today, unfortunately I had to out my old man to sleep. And throughout the past weeks, Doc has been very open and honest about our options. Today, I put my best friend to sleep. But i felt a lot better knowing everyone here wouldd take care of him. Please, if you need a new vet just know this is the place to be. I cant imagine the quality of life my dog would have had at any other vet compared to here. He is happy, and living whatever life he can across the rainbow bridge. Thank you all for what you do.

The staff here is very friendly. The doctor is great he will listen to your concerns unlike other places I have been to where they just don't care. The prices here are affordable.

I am not a big fan of this place. The customer service is shoddy at best. We brought our dog in, when we couldn't see our regular vet. I felt the veterinarian who saw our dog was very vague, offered a lot of very expensive options for care that didn't zero in on what was bothering our dog, and we left without any real answers. This is not to mention that we paid for a medication that they did not have, they promised it would arrive on Monday, and it didn't. It wasn't coming Tuesday either. Mind you, we had already paid. It was suggested I come there and pick up a physical rx, which to me seemed ridiculous. When I suggested an email, it took well over an hour to get it. If I hadn't called about it, I'm sure I never would have gotten it. All in all, it was a frustrating experience and I cannot recommend going here.

I was dog sitting for a friend's dog. Unfortunately, the dog's health was declining so I took him to this vet. They had same day appointments and very very friendly staff. There is parking in the back. And I can stay in the car with my dog instead of the waiting room. That's such a nice option. The doctor explained options for the dog. Unfortunately, the dog was at the end of his life. He was a 16 year old lab, while it was very sad, it wasn't a surprise. The vet and the staff were all very kind and understanding. They gave me time because I needed to contact the dog's owner to determine the path forward. I appreciated their support very much. I found the fee to be very reasonable. So I will actually be bringing my own dogs here after having this experience.

I've been taking my fur babies there for quite some time. I lost my BELOVED cat. He helped me get through a lot of things including my mom passing away. I noticed something wrong with my cat last year. He was being treated for that. I was taking him in often, at least once a week. I noticed more problems with his breathing. They couldn't hear anything wrong. They didn't notice anything wrong. I was told to change his food and come back in two weeks. I called again and they were too busy to take him in and then they were closed. No one ever returned my calls. I took him to another Vet and they did an x-ray and noticed his lungs were filled with something and his heart wasn't working normally. I had to take him to an ER and they did an ultrasound. It was bad and we put him down that night. It took them from January to June to return my call with Tony. He got really rude to me. Please DON'T take your pets to VALUE VET. They take your MONEY and then hang you out to dry. They KILLED MY CAT, from a missed diagnosis.

The Dr told me wanted to cut the two tumors out of my 11 year old dog and clean her teeth for over 2K. I asked why he couldn't just extract some fluid out to find out if they were benign or not and he gave me some stupid answer. I ended up going to another vet for a second opinion and that vet suggested extracting fluids from the tumors because he didn't think it was necessary to cut them out and he doesn't like putting older pets under sedation. Turns out both tumors are benign and I saved over $1500. I hate greedy vets who insist on extreme measures to find out the pathology at the pets and owners expense. I will not be returning there. I recommend Dr Oh at Van Nuys pet clinic. Besides that, I've always thought the staff were good. Just not the drs.

If I could give a zero I would. Ihad an appt to have my puppy spayed and update shots. I took a day off work for the spay. Got there and they wouldn't do it because she is a few pounds over their limit. Never again.Hacks and liers. They new my puppy and schedualed the appt and said it would be fine.

We have been going here for 20+ years and these girls are awesome. Nowadays vet care is such a business and everybody is so understaffed - but Dr Sharif and Tony (the manager) and the girls at the front desk, Adriana and all the vet techs, I just can't say enough positive things about how I was treated and how my dog was treated. He just had major surgery, some hiccups, a rose, and they were there for us 100%. They deserve every dollar of my business. Awesome operation ;-)

I was recommended to Value Vet from a animal nutritionalist Marc from Petstaurant in Van Nuys. I had a 14 year old Dogo Argentino that had massive weight loss and lethargy, etc. My first time there and it was a Saturday, but I was able to get an appointment. We were me by a friendly front desk and nice staff. I met Dr. Shura Bugreeff for the first time to give my dog an examination. She was amazing! Down on the floor with my big boy, she gave him a gentle and thorough physical exam. Unfortunately they were not able to do the ultrasound that we were requiring so she sent a referral to TrueCare in Studio City. She had the staff call to make sure we could get in and get an appointment. So thoughtful and very compassionate. I highly recommend Dr. Bugreeff for her concern, care and professionalism.

DO NOT GO HERE!! I brought my dog Susie to Value Vet for a Spay & Neuter, it's a big story to tell, but my Dog was perfect, no existing conditions before. After the Surgery, the Doctor: Sherif Abdelmalak DVM, who claims she may have had a problem even before the surgery; He said my dog was bleeding; but how does a dog bleed, Sherif said, He opened my dog 3 times and the second time: she was bleeding. But How?...I brought my dog home, and then the worst only occured, she kept going in circles, whining, and staying in one spot.. Dr Sherif said she might have autoimmune disease because her blood was going down.. I had my dog for 3-4 days before going back to Value Vet, and in the Hands by Sherif Abdelmalak, DVM. She was then transferred to a hospital, they did not want to pay for my dogs' MRI.. I have more details but I just don't want to have a long Statement. My Dog Susie, died because of Value Vet, Do not go to this Doctor: Sherif Abdelmalak, DVM. My Dog was happy and now she is gone, she died. I repeat DO NOT GO To VALUE VET in Sherman way, Canoga Park. I do not want anyone to suffer as I did.

I've been Coming to this Clinic for @ least 4 years. I absolutely love the Dr. He is kind and a very knowledgeable Vet and the ladies @ the front are very sweet . Mystic Moon & Auggie never had any problems with the vet techs they feel safe. And I've never had a long wait time either. It is always better to make an appointment.

I have had such a positive experience! The staff has been incredibly patient with all my questions and concerns. This is my first puppy, Dahlia, and she got spayed yesterday. The whole staff was so sweet to me and to my furbaby. They took great care of her and the vet even helped with an ear infection her previous vet hasn't been able to help despite multiple visits. It's not close to me, but I will go here from now on because I appreciate the kind care my sweet girl has been receiving. All in all a wonderful experience and so grateful the rescue suggested this vet
