I’ve never really had a positive experience here, but my most recent one was an exercise in frustration and anger. I had a small item that I sold online, and in order not to get shorted on the sale, I looked up the shipping rates ahead of time on the USPS website. However, when I went to mail it, the clerk told me that the cost would be double what I saw online. I tried to explain the price I found online, and she quickly adopted a rude and arrogant tone. After a few minutes of back and forth, I gave up and paid the excessive shipping fee, shook my head, and walked out.
I’m done with the US Postal Service. UPS and FedEx may be more expensive, but at least they stick to their advertised rates and their people have a more pleasant demeanor.

I mean it's a post office..
However, if Yevette isn't working the day you come in to post or drop something off, expect to wait in line for maybe 5(+) minutes since it seems like everyone likes to make a 1 minute problem into a 5-10 minute chat. Have to praise Yevette, since she's just a no-nonsense kind of gal and keeps the line moving 10/10.

The lines are usually short but can be busy in the evenings. Usually, the last hour, they are open, but the line moves quickly. All the employees here are extremely helpful and always friendly. You can always buy postage and mail all letters, including priority mail, and you can even mail most medium-sized boxes and packages 24 hours and 7 days a week.

You have someone working there that is opening credit cards. It happens every time we are expecting a card. The envelope is completely slashed and all night I was receiving emails that someone is trying to activate my card. Happens all too often

I’ve never been snapped at in public like this before—I am currently handicapped (walking impaired) and so I came in and stood by the handicap window as I’ve seen many folks do before who needed the express line- I needed to get some medium boxes to fill out.The woman with the broken finger who normally works there barked at me that it’s for handicapped people only and to get in line. Even though I’m clearly visibly handicapped (and parked in a marked spot just out front) I said “hi, yes, I am handicapped and was hoping to just grab two medium empty boxes to fill out.”She ignored me for several minutes and then said “I’m not going to help you until you walk over there and get in line.” This was needlessly cruel… as I’ve been to this post office before, I’ve seen her help many people before who did as I did, but for some reason she saw me and decided to take whatever was going on out on me.I waddled over to the other side where she pointed me to, and she refused to call me, and after let several other customers go in front of me. I didn’t say anything to her other than what I wrote above. I wasn’t rude, I wasn’t aggressive, I was patient and did what she told me to.I know how it feels to work in service. I get it. But this absolutely sucked to go through and it made my heart hurt, I would never treat someone like that.I left and went to the other Simi location. What an absolute j****

Yvette was completely rude and unprofessional. I am an artist and I frequently ship my packages and prints and like to include a free BIC lighter I customize with my art. I am aware of the rules, it needs to be shipped ground and a label on the outside, I have never had any issues but today Yvette decided to waste my lunch break while looking through her book only to tell me they are not able to mail it??????? makes no sense to me and I don’t appreciate her bad attitude, she should not be working with the public, mind you I had my own lable and everything was done for her she just decided to give me a hard time.

This is my primary post office in Simi. I have been trying to mail my tax documents for two weeks now , due to my work schedule I have to visit in off hours and use the self service machines , the issue is the have been out of order for two weeks, every time I go they are not functioning. It would be great if someone at the post office could get them working again.
