We checked around a few places and this location was absolutely hands down the best. Brad was very helpful and knowledgeable with amazing customer service skills. He made us feel very welcome and appreciated us as new customers who recently moved to the area. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a safe, secure, and top notch storage facility to go with this location and again ask for Brad!

Nice facility but feel like it's over priced. For the price we pay, I feel they should have AC in the building where they house everyone's belonging. I remember going there during the summer and I was sweating so bad going through all my stuff.

My experience with So Cal Self Storage was great. Jackie was wonderful to work with. It was easy to get in and out to my unit and the area was always well maintained. The only reason I cancelled my unit was because I moved my office out of my house and freed up a lot of space at home and didn't need a storage. If I ever need one again I will certainly use So Cal Self Storage.

If you're ok with your belongings being permeated with cigarette smoke, then this place is perfect for you. If not, stay away. It seemed like a great place at first -- gated, plenty of cameras, tidy outward appearance, but it ended up being anything but. My first clue should have been how filthy the unit was once I moved in with the bits of trash, clumps of hair and dust, and leaves(in an inside unit!) all over the floor. I contacted management immediately about the cigarette smell in my unit and was told they have no other units available for me to transfer to and they could not refund me whatsoever if I move my things out, even though I had just paid rent 2 days prior to my discovery. I ended up moving out ASAP regardless to prevent further damage to my belongings and am now happily at another, better facility in town where I can access my things 365 days a year AND after 7PM. What a concept! I'm actually glad this happened as I ended up with a storage facility that I feel much safer at with an amazingly wonderful manager. No wonder SoCal storage is so cheap and attracts such shady tenants. You definitely get what you pay for!

I came here looking for storage, and I left with so much more in my life. My business had closed down in San Diego and I didn't know if I was moving to Ventura County or Los Angeles County. I found a beautiful home in Thousand Oaks, but I wouldn't be able to move in for several months. I came across this place by chance as I was in the area, and I was impressed with everything I saw. Additionally, I got the first two months half off, which was perfect since that was enough time for me to get everything else sorted.While I had my stuff in storage (which I needed two full units for), I was always able to access my belongings whenever I needed to. There was never any problems with any of the furniture I kept there, and the manager Jacquelyn reserved the storage moving van for me at no extra cost. Jacquelyn was always pleasant when I needed something, and she always asked me about how my business and move was going.The day I finally moved into my house and to take my stuff out of storage was both happy and sad. Sad because I was leaving my friends at SoCal Storage that had supported me every step of the way during my move, but happy because a new chapter of my life was about to begin, and I had memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.

This storage facility is ok. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because their hours are very limited (closes at 7pm every-day) and the prices are higher than expected. The main reason my husband and I don't move our belongings to another storage facility is , because it would be far more of a hassel to facilitate a move like that at this point in our lives as I just got released from a month long ICU hospital stay with a long road to recovery ahead of me. Anyhow, this is our least favorite bill to pay each month but you do what you gotta do.
