Reasonable pricing for a Glock 17C. Quick service in the heart of Simi Valley. They have an indoor range that allows rifles, as well as rentals and training courses.

Generally rude staff and they tried to overcharge me. Not a good place for beginner shooters, they told my friend to pay a $150 beginner fee.

Best place to shoot indoors bar none. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the range is well cared for and they have a great selection of weapons.

Don is the BEST!! My son is experienced and I am getting back into it. We did the two hour course with Don and he is beyond fantastic. He is able to work with two people who are at different skill levels, make it engaging, and help both of us out. We have continued on with the one hour lessons with Don; for my son, to help him get even better, and for me to get comfortable again as well as improve my skills. We have also purchased from Smokin Barrel and everyone we have interacted with are super knowledgeable, friendly, and just great people. Thank you Don and Smokin Barrel!

Professional, extremely knowledgeable, they take the time and then some to explain all pros and cons, excellent selection, outstanding pricing. Special shout out to Ryan Snow. He went above and beyond in educating us in options, fit, function and more importantly comfort in buying a fire arm in the first place.

I took the 2-hour handgun class at Smoking Barrel. The class was fantastic and left me feeling very confident about how a handgun works and how to safely use one. Our instructor, Don, was superb. He was very knowledgable and patient and made the class engaging. My friend and I threw a curveball at him because we are both left-handed / left-eyed, but Don explained how to modify our hand positions. The firing range was very nice. There were many lanes, there was staff always present in the range, and the staff kept the area clean at all times. Finally, the staff up front were very knowledgeable and answered tons of questions we had about the handgun and rifle options for purchase. I’m looking forward to coming back for a rifle training course and then doing some shooting practice in the future.

Great staff that is very friendly and helpful. A well maintained clean and warm environment for 2A enthusiasts. I purchased a yearly membership and now wished I had done it much sooner. I highly recommend the Smoking Barrel to everyone.
