Went a month ago and everything fine. I guess closed now. Or closed for lunch I went at 1:15pm on a Saturday. Door locked. No other customers using pumps. Gas station across street had same price, filled with customers. Went there instead Strange.

Ken is THE BEST! My husband's had a lot of issues with his car and it wouldn't pass the smog test. Ken worked with him and got everything fixed and charged him much less than another mechanic quoted him. He will work with you and not talk you in to fixing things that aren't really needed just to get money out of you like so many others do. We will never take any of our cars to anyone other than Ken at Kean's!

Kean has been my mechanic for well over 30 years. He is the most kind, honest mechanic you will ever meet. I cannot say enough good about him. Always Super helpful. He deserves 10 stars!!

charged me $100 didn't do scan. came back, charged me $300 to install battery. cars dead, thank god it's in driveway. used this guy before, now he's scamming. beware of his scan price and make sure he does it. i paid and still got screwed.

I don't recommend anybody going to them to get their car "fixed". Unless if you want to get robbed of your money.

My car broke down on the fwy and I had it towed to anyplace AAA would tow it to. This other place quoted me a completely ridiculous amount of money to fix my car! A friend of mine recommended Keans auto and told me of their wonderful experience with Kean, and promised me I would not be disappointed. I had my car towed to Keans auto the following day. Kean was extremely honest, professional, reliable, and informed me of exactly what was wrong with my car. He kept the old, broken parts to show me what had gone wrong...and on top of everything else positive, he was extremely reasonable! I'm so glad my friend recommended Keans Auto to me. I trust him...he's both an honest mechanic (which is hard to find) and extremely reasonable with his prices. I found my new mechanic and will be referring friends to him from now on.

After trying to purchase gas at the pump which failed I receive a fraudulent charge alert from my credit card company. Don't us the card reader at the pump.

I admit I hold grudges and do not forget when I receive bad service. Fortunately, I do not have to do either of these when it comes to Ken at Kean's Automotive. My family has been bringing our cars to Ken for more than 20 years and we are all pleased with his work ethic and honesty. He treats us fairly and is pretty quick with the repairs. He also is very good about accommodating our work schedules by letting us leave our car overnight for service the next day or pick it up when we can following the work. Sure, over the years, there may have been a time or two when he had to pinpoint an issue that was not completely fixed, but he would jump right back in to diagnose the problem and make it right. Honest mechanics are hard to find, but I found one.

Brought our car in to check the AC where I explicitly mentioned that there is a leak for the AC. Ken instead just vacuumed and put in new coolant as a temporary fix and charged us $150. The AC leak was never fixed and when mentioned to him, he just kinda shrugged and said "oh well". My problem was never acknowledged. Unprofessional and does not deserve your business.

I recently moved to Simi Valley & met someone hiking who has the same car as I. Honda Element but her miles are 270,000 and mine are 190,000. I was asking her for a mechanic. She recommended Ken. She Has been going to him for yrs. Well I went over to meet him & he had time for my oil change & to look the car over as I plan my east coast trip. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Very nice & trust worthy. If I do not relocate back east and decide to stay in Simi, he would definitely be my mechanic.

Went in to get my car inspected for a potential problem that another mechanic told me it had that I was suspicious was just trying to upsell me. Got a second opinion by Ken on the fly during a break at work and he told me within ten minutes that it was basically fine. He didn't even charge me to look at it. That's how you build trust and rapport. I'll take my car to him from now on because this industry is shady and there aren't many honest people like Ken.
