Dr Stirewall is a terrific dr for your fur babies.She has ALWAYS shown concern, consideration and competency for my dogs. Never let's me down and I own breeds that have a lot of issues.Definitely a great vet with an awesome office staff.I've notice three other reviewers complain about Dr. Stirewald being racist....That is a bold face lie. I don't know what agenda these three individuals have, but it is not even close to being the truth.

This is a testimony about the amazing staff and care provided by Simi Valley Animal Hospital. The first photo was our dog's foot about a month ago. We had a horrible incident occur: our dog's foot was without circulation for a prolonged period of time and cut almost all the way through her leg all the way around. We took our dog to SVAH for any help they could provide. Her foot was literally dying and we were not certain she would be able to keep it. Every staff member at SVAH showed genuine concern for our dog's well-being and has delivered nothing but excellence time and time again. They have been thorough in their explanations and have not pushed anything on us at all. While our dog still has a ways to go with recovery, she is in good hands and I so very much appreciate the great work SVAH has done to get her to this point. Thank you!

My dog got bit and was initially treated at another vet. The next day she had signs of infection that were really concerning. After calling around all of Simi (including VSEC and other \\\"emergency\\\" hospitals) no one could take her. Once I called Simi Animal Hospital, the front desk staff was very attentive and heard my concerns and worry. They got me in immediately and took great care of my dog. The front staff, doctor, and technicians are all amazing and you could tell they truly care about animals. They have an amazing laser therapy service to help with the healing process and I could not recommend it more! My dog is back to her acting herself, eating and drinking and myself and my entire family is so grateful to have found this place!

I will never bring my dog back here. We brought my dogs in for a check up and shots and the performed unnecessary procedure butchering her foot. I was beyond upset. She ended up getting a really bad cyst and badly infected. I took her to Moorpark vetinary hospital after. Luckily they took great care of her and finally is getting better.

Completely a scam. You don't get to see a vet, the tech come out to the car. They charge for the most ridiculous stuff and don't give you enough meds to cover you pet so you are forced to come back and spend hundreds of dollars again. I will never bring any of my animals here ever again! Beware unless you love spending obscene money for literally nothing.

Honestly would have been a zero if I had the choice. No NOT I repeat do not take your fur babies to this racist facility, not only do they not care about your pet, the moment a Mexican slightly raises their voice, we get threatened to get the cops called on. No help at all, knew that we needed to get our information for our babie to fly with us and a week before we leave they call us saying they can’t help, after we had made a payment to them already. Disgusted and hope this facility gets somewhat better with their racist workers. Definitely taking our business to people that actually care, and don’t wanna rob us.

Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and has no place in any professional setting, let alone one dedicated to caring for animals and their owners.Beyond this particular staff member's actions, the overall service at Simi Valley Animal Hospital was subpar. The facility seemed poorly managed, with disorganized procedures and long wait times. The lack of transparency regarding pricing and treatment options only added to the frustration and anxiety of pet owners seeking proper care for their animals.As a responsible pet owner, I believe in treating animals with compassion and kindness. Unfortunately, my experience at Simi Valley Animal Hospital fell far short of these values, leaving me with a sense of betrayal and disappointment. I urge others to think twice before entrusting their beloved pets to this establishment.In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Simi Valley Animal Hospital, based on the unethical, dishonest, and racist behavior I witnessed during my visit. They took our cat same day for urgent care for a mystery illness. They stabilized her and we took her home to monitor, but she needed immediate attention the next day and they took her right back for a full day of treatment and monitoring. They tell you all of your options but will work with you to help care for your pet within your budget. Our sweet kitty was allowed to come home to recoup in comfort with all the medications and tools needed for her to recover. They are very caring and want what is best for your animal.

Been taking Schmoo here for a year. He's been having hair loss and skin problems for the last few months. Have to be honest I find it ridiculous that they're still implementing the idiotic Covid rules so I sit out here in my car, instead of the exam room, while they tend to hm and examine him. This leaves me to have to talk to the tech, who then talks to vet, to relay the information to me. Not a fan either of vets sending techs out to the car to go over the charges. I find it unprofessional and cowardly. I'd rather the vet look me in the eye when discussing treatments and cost. But the reason I'm not coming here anymore is that I took him here three months ago to have his hair loss and skin issued treated, and spent $2,000 on tests, shampoo, etc. I brought him back for same issue today and the tech comes out with another $700 in charges. Of course I go over them and included in the proposed charges are costs for shampoo I previously bought, and a heart worm test that not only did I pay for but also had prescribed for him TREFEXIS . READ THE GODDAMN chart! He's on medication to prevent it AND i paid for a test two months before. Then, we on our own decide to take him off the trefexis to see if it would help his hair loss and low and behold, his hair is growing back! Why didn't anyone do their job and suggest this before all this expensive and useless testing? Only two explanations for this, either incompetence or money grab, neither of which are comforting. Had I known these guys only aggregate 3.5 stars, I never would've taken him here! Going to find a new vet!

My puppy had a nodule removed on the back of his leg and it was sent to pathology. They told me there was concern for it being cancerous. About a month after the procedure I received a phone call saying please call them back immediately they needed to review my dogs results. I called and the secretary told me that the vet had an emergency and had to leave. I asked her could she tell me what the results were and she said she was the secretary so wasn't sure just that she needed to call me because they were positive. I started to panick thinking my dog could possibly have cancer. I asked her to please contact the vet right away to contact me. I did not hear back from the vet. I called the next day explained the situation to another vet tech who was kind enough to get the results for me. How are the vet did not talk to me til 3pm the next day. I'm a nurse and would never treat any patient this way. I was mortified.
