“Got in, they let me know upfront there would be a bit of wait. Guys there were super cool and got me out of there faster than I was told and topped up my washer fluid and air in the tires. Overall great. Only thing I can think of is they didn’t have change for me to pay with cash but that’s kinda the norm in most places now.”

“My 2019 Honda civic was running funny after getting an oil change at the dealership. My car kept stalling while driving it and smoke was coming out of the motor and from the back of the car. I took my car to one mechanic in Sun Valley which someone had referred me to but they said they could not find anything wrong with my car. So I picked up my car and low and behold the problem kept occurring. My daughter referred me to Gevik at Yosemite Auto and he told me to bring my car in so he could take a look at it. He had checked my car's oil and was shocked to find out that the dealership had filled my oil 5x the limit. He said I was lucky that I didn't blow my engine driving it around like that. “I rarely get my car washed. This has led to several instances of the words, “WASH ME” written in the dirt covering the vehicle. I tried to stop it by letting people know that it was a “SCIENCE EXPERIMENT – DO NOT WASH”, also written in the dirt.
Since neither phrase resulted in a clean car, I tried washing it myself. Apparently, my neighbors don’t want to see an old, fat, ugly guy in Speedos getting lathered up. At least the cops had a good laugh.
So, off to Simi Auto Care I go! I took the body out of the trunk (total waste of time, BTW – they don’t even open the trunk!) and pulled up during a slow time.
Seriously, they certainly do a better wash than the local drive-through, and the prices reflect that difference. After the car went through the washing tunnel, it was cleaned by hand by one of the several guys at the other end. Not only did he do a nice job finishing the process, but he was also quick, too. The car looks great! I drove it back home in style.
Although, in hindsight, I probably should’ve worn something other than the Speedos.”
“Full synthetic oil change with filter for my 2014 Acura MDX was $65 and some change! No worries about the quality of service they provide and they warranty their work. They carry all the top brands. Ladies go there and get treated with respect, I'm just saying.”
