Tom was amazing. He could explain what the problem was to me in a way that I could tell he knows his stuff. He fixed my amp in under a week. and very reasonable fee. worth a long drive to get to him.

Tom has done several repairs for me: McIntosh and Dynaco. He's the best. Very quick turnaround, super-professional. Affordable, knowledgeable, and a good hang. Unlike some techs, Tom has an appreciation for the aesthetic appeal of old gear, and I really appreciate that. Competent techs are getting harder to come by as the old guard gets longer in the tooth. Tom Ishimoto is legend. Take your vintage gear to him before he decides to retire and work on his own s*** for a change.

Tom is simply the best repairman to your audiophile system! Solid state or Tube, or modification, name it, he will do it! I've been customer for couple of year, even though he is far from where I live, it is worth it! Let him ttske care of your precious amps, pre amp, and electronics systems, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Tom for restoring my Marantz 2325!

Tom is old school and will charge and fix what is needed to the component. Will not promote unnecessary work --straight forward and fix what needs fixing. These days hard to find someone who is highly skilled and charges reasonably. This is Northridge electronics. . I have shipped to him for his services and have recommended in forums and forgot that I could leave a review so here it is. I have lived in the S.F. bay area and could not find anyone both reasonable and so highly qualified so I just ship to Tom. Previous poster.. You may want to have some patience and re contact --its well worth it.
