That is a homeless camp in the back of the parking lot and no, they do not pay rent. Besides that NOBODY has the authority to rent living space it is against Moose by-laws.

The Moose is very happy to collect your membership fees, but will NEVER answer how they plan on dealing with this Coronavirus. Apparently they expect us to keep paying our dues without ANY expectations of opening. I, for one, will be moving to the Elks Lidge. At least they are responsible

My family has been part of LOM for many generations. Our local Moose Lodges have been a huge part of my life. So after moving to Simi and getting engaged, the first place I wanted to go check out was this local lodge. Firstly, I began calling in November 2019. I was told the onlyy person I could speaak to about looking at the room was the current administrator, Glen. I called leavIng Glen messages in November, December and in January. Finally I called and spoke with a very nice woman who could sense my frustration. She said she was going to try to get him to call me. Within 3 hours I got a text from "Glen"" saying here's my number. No I'm sorry you've waited 3 months for me to call you, just here's my number. When I finally called him, I explained that my best friend was only going to be in town for one more day and was there anyway that he could get us in the room. He felt no need to accommodate us, and even went so far as to call me an arsehole. Never in my life have I ever been treated in such a derogatory manner by a member of LOM. Glen was the first. He behaved inappropriately and unprofessionally. I will never use their room or spend even $1 in there solely because of how crappy this "man" treated me. Thanks Glen. You're a real piece of work. I can't wait to tell Rod Hammond, the supreme governor, all about the experience I had.
