I have bought from these folks a few times now and they do lack the marketing of other services, but the quality of the organic veggie soil is excellent and my plants thrive, more so than with competitor soil. Now, I don't know what to do about the squirrels, bunnies, birds and critters that eat all my plants!

Unfortunately we bought soil for our garden here last year. I shared mine with friends and family and none of us had a good year and of growing. We also ended up with a terrible grub problem we are still trying to control.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this company! From my first contact call speaking with Kurt to meeting with him to choose which bark mulch we wanted to order, to placing our order with Vicky my experience was exceptional. Then when Mark the delivery driver was able to “thread the needle” within a tight alley access to maneuver the delivery trailer into our backyard through a 9’ wide gate to our RV pad I was amazed and extremely happy! Great products, great service, great personnel!Thank you American Soil!!

Quick and easy. Had I bought a yard of soil in bags at the big box store it would have cost me 5 times as much. He just loaded my pickup and I was off. Each time I have used this soil I am amazed at how new plants don’t shock like they do with bagged soil.

I don't really know what's in 50/50, but I used it to redo my front yard last year and my back yard two weeks ago. I am amazed at how it can be that the soils is so good that none of the plants shocked. I cannot say that about any brand of bagged soil I've purchased.

Bought about 8 yds of veg soil for a new planter. Appears to be very good soil, but I haven't planted in it yet. Reasonable price and good staff.Update 3 months in: Everything looks great, both seeds and store-bought seedlings are growing great. No volunteer growth from imported soil - very clean.Update 8 months in: first year crops very good. We keep going back for more.

I bought 'Vegetable Garden Soil Mix' from here few months ago. Their website claims this about this about the soil. - 'A 100% Organic Soil that is ready to be directly planted into for a bountiful harvest of the best vegetables. Nothing else is needed except seeds, sunshine, and water.' I really went out of my way to buy this product because it said its 100% organic. The soil looks like regular dirt mixed with rice husk. I often find some GLASS pieces in it. What's been most disappointing is that I have planted two crops since I put this soil. My vegetables have stunted growth and bolt within few weeks because the soil is devoid of nutrition. The first round I planted seeds without adding any compost to it. That was complete failure. I just pulled everything out last week. Now I have mixed the soil with my own compost and its beginning to look little better but still no where near where it should be based on their claim about the product. I've been sowing some seeds directly into the native soil in my yard with compost on top. Those seedlings are doing great. The moment I transfer them to the raised bed filled with this product the growth of seedling just stunts and stats bolting. Meanwhile rest of the seedlings in my native soil are doing great. So I know that the problem is this soil itself. Now I'll have to go and buy bunch of amendments to make this soil work. I just hope it really is an organic product. Such a disappointment! This is not a 'FAKE REVIEW by disgruntled former employee' as claimed by the owner. I can post picture of my receipt, the product and garden photos.
