Exceptional Service at First Kia Simi Valley – Thanks to Joe and Noah!
I want to give a huge shoutout to Joe and Noah at First Kia Simi Valley for the outstanding service they provided to my sister. She had always dreamed of owning a Volvo XC40, and thanks to Joe and Noah, that dream has come true!
From the moment we stepped into the dealership, Joe and Noah made us feel welcome and valued. They took the time to understand exactly what my sister was looking for and worked tirelessly to find the perfect Volvo XC40 for her. They went above and beyond to ensure she got an amazing deal, far exceeding our expectations.
Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. My sister is over the moon with her new car, and we owe it all to the exceptional efforts of Joe and Noah.
If you're looking for a dealership where the staff truly cares and goes the extra mile, I can't recommend First Kia Simi Valley enough. Thank you, Joe and Noah, for making this such a memorable and positive experience!

I went Saturday 8/24/24 to Simi Kia to get an oil change and oil filter change. When I presented their $34.95 post card mailer coupon, the sales person, Dean, said that the coupon was "TOO LOW" and that they hadn't charged anyone that price in over 6 months. I told him that was irrelevant and then he said, "Well it's ripped so he can't accept it because he can't see an expiration date on it". I then showed him the coupon text right next to it on the same page that clearly showed that it had "NO EXPIRATION". He still would not accept it and said I would have to speak to a manager. By the time the oil change was complete it had already been over 3.5 hours (I had been waiting 10:50am to 2:30pm) and I did not want to be there any longer.

Not a single positive impression of this dealership. My 2014 Forte had a recall last year for engine fires, twice they refused to do the work. I had to spend four months driving an acknowledged fire risk before they finally did the recall service. Then last month when I asked them about any warranty coverage on that work, they lied outright and said there was none at all. I found the recall notice with the correct terms, and their service staff refused to even look at it. When I persisted, their service manager became hostile, called me childish, and lectured me about his long day. Don't trust them. At all. You can get everything in writing even, it won't make any difference.
Three times and counting they promised an investigation- between that and the failed services, that's at least half a dozen outright lies. You trust their service staff at your own risk. Service leader David and rep Sang were openly dishonest and disrespectful- their own service docs detail how they failed to do their jobs properly. Between their disregard for safety and the ownership's disregard for integrity, my car is now scrap and I'm out thousands of dollars. Try the Valencia dealership. Not close at all, but at least their people don't treat you like garbage.

Let me begin by saying I researched Car and Driver, Consumer Reports and Edmund’s and Kia was at the top of the list. But I did do my due diligence and went to a total of 5 different dealerships and test drove over 7 different vehicles. And at one dealership not one person out of about 16 salesmen approached me.
That was not the case at Kia of Simi Valley. I was welcomed by Joe as soon as I entered the lot the first time. He was friendly, helpful and not the typical heavy handed salesman.
Then I returned another day to test drive a couple of cars and Cody opened the door and welcomed me with a sincere smile and desire to assist me. He was easy to talk to, answered all my questions and the entire process was low stress and low pressure. I felt he was looking out for my best interests which was very comforting. Plus Kia has the best bumper to bumper warranty coverage in town so I knew I was in good hands.
Overall, this was probably the most positive experience I have ever had buying a car. From start to finish every hand that helped me was a wonderful representation for Kia. I may have walked into the showroom with a handful of unknown salesmen, but when I left, I felt like I had a pack of brothers looking out for me and wishing me well. I would happily recommend your dealership to family and friends. Thank you

My daughter drives a Kia Soul which take care of. Sang is my service writer. He is great. 5 stars for him.
The problem is, NO ONE answers the phone. I have been trying to get a hold of Sang and I can’t. I have been calling the last 3 days with no luck. I tried service, sales and “0” for an operator. No luck. It rings and rings. Then it goes to music. After that it hangs up on you. I let it ring over 10 times each call. NO ONE answers the phone.

Wasted my time, told me I can return my lease any time they are open, took off work and got a ride scheduled. Got there and was told I can't return it as there is no one there to inspect. Luckily Kia of Van Nuys let me come straight over.
Also, this dealership looks like it's out of the 1980s. Go somewhere else!

Do not buy a car here if you have any intent of using their service department. Absolutely hands down the worst experience I ever had with a service department. We were fired as customers because the service manager was unable to fix our car problem. Our check engine light was on, they had my car for extended amounts of time on multiple occasions. Rather than figuring out the issue they simply cleared the check engine light, tried gaslighting us into thinking it was never on to begin with. Then literally FIRED US AS CUSTOMERS!!! I drove off the lot & wouldn't you know it, my check engine light was back on before I got home. Greg Thoma is the worst service manager I've ever encountered. Do not use First Kia of Simi, ever!!

If you are woman who is confident and self respect, I would highly suggest not going to this Kia. Johnny in finance was rude and walked by me making a nasty comment and refused to take responsibility for his disrespectful comment. He refused to acknowledge his unprofessional demeanor. Even Paul the finance mgr was short with me, telling me that he was doing me a favor by completing the buyout of my lease. Shocking!! Misogynistic! Do yourself a favor and don’t support the disgusting behavior of some of their employees.

I would not buy a car from them or have any warranty or service work done by them? They do not honor any of the 100,000 mile warranty always come up with a reason why it has or is not covered

James in the parts dept was so helpful and patient in helping me with my parts needs. He's a great asset to this dealership.

Dont waste your time! Absolutely crooked
Changed the terms last second wasted my entire day. We even played a recording where the salesman agreed to the initial terms
and they later apologized.

Me and my sister contacted Kia of Simi Valley on Sunday, April 21st. The salesmen's who picked up the phone was Josh, a very nice and polite guy.
I told Josh about the car that I'm looking for and I told him that I have willing to pay $5,000 down payment and $600 for sixty months financing (out the door).
I explained to him that I need all the numbers prior to me coming to the dealer at Simi valley.
Josh took the time to check, and he called me back saying I have a great news for you. We can give it to you for the $600 with the $5,000 down. Just come over. I said grate and made an appointment with him.
At the appointment they increased the number of payments/months to 84 at $600 a month and the Manager JOHNNY KIA said that he was next to josh when I called the dealership and I never said 60 months, which was clearly a lie!! because they record the calls (I will get back to that). JOHNNY started all is sales pitch on us and why we are not understanding, and he give us the car at no profit, and 84 month is what everybody doing etc. etc.
The deal that he was offering after he worked so hard, I already got from a different kia dealer without any negotiation.
Once I realized the game they were playing, I understudy that we cannot buy the car from them.
I don’t mind if the deal that I was asking is not doable for them, then they just needed to say, no we can’t, and I wouldn’t lose my day of work and drive all the way from Tarzana to simi valley and back.
40 minutes after I left the dealer, I received a call from JOSH, and he was telling me that he listened to the recorded call and that it was 60 months!!!

Brian was great! He patiently explained everything to me about the recall and the recommended maintenance for my vehicle. Thank you for a terrific experience.
