I highly recommend Signal Hill automotive. I recently came after a visit to the dealership where they told me I needed to replace multiple things. When I brought my car here however, they told me that I only needed 1 thing done which saved me hundreds of dollars. Look no further for a trustworthy and dependable mechanic.

I drove 8 hours from Northern California. On my way home, the car died in the middle of the street. It was hot out and I had my 10 month old son with us so I was stressed to the max. I called signal hill and asked if I could get my car towed there. With no hesitation, they said yes. I was a little scared I'd get ripped off because i'm a young female from out of town. While waiting at the shop, the older man (didn't get his name) offered the bathroom. He saw my son was fussy and sweating from the heat so he told me "you can use the restroom for your baby and cool him off if you need to". Once he looked at my car, he also told me other things he saw that needed to be fixed. I was already aware but i'm glad he mentioned it! He replaced the alternator the next day and we were able to return home safely. I understand why they have such high ratings. I'd definitely recommend this place. Thank you so much! P.S I also noticed many businesses such as hertz bringing their vehicles to them. That tells you something!

Went to a dealer when my car overheated they supposedly fixed it and charged me $1,300. About 3 weeks later a hose burst and I went back to the dealer and he charged me $700 to replace all the hoses. About 3 months later the car began to overheat again so I took it to Signal Hill Automotive they fixed everything and changed my oil. It seemed the problem was the newfangled thermostats now used which can tell the cooling fan to either run or not run. The dealer supposedly put a new thermostat in but I guess he didn't. Therefore I'm sticking with Signal Hill Automotive they get five stars and a grade of A!

Joe, Gerald & Onik, what a nice people. Good personalities. I’ve known them since 1994 and take my own, my wife’s, relatives and friends’ car to them since! Technically they are the best in the business without any exaggeration, 2nd to none! Very sharp & clever in pinpointing & diagnosing issues that are difficult to locate. They are honest & very fair when it comes to hand you the bill.Frankly I hardly written any reviews in the past but now one is in order. SUPER pleased with the service I got. Gerald and Joe were kind and very helpful. They were willing to stay a little late to do an oil change since I was working and couldn’t get off sooner. They even fixed my fender liner even though that’s not usually something they do. 10/10 highly recommendService: Oil change
