Fraud, Lies and utter B.S.Lie #1: Went to best buy in Hawthorne to purchase a computer (because they had it in stock) that was on sale for 449.99, Saw they had an open box item of the same computer for $308. Spoke with the associate and was told that the item was checked and verified and was in working condition and had no problems. I would normally never buy and open box electronic device but with his assurance it was working and his assurance that they would honor the sale price I stupidly bought it. I asked are you sure and he said yes, they refurbish and verify every item is 100% working. When I got home and opened the item and booted it up, it had someone else's name and password so CLEARLY it had not been checked, refurbished, and verified. I did a system wipe from the BIOS and got it up and running but it stopped working a few hours later so I decided to return it.Lie #2: Before purchasing the open box item I asked the associate if the item does not work out, can I come back in a day or two and purchase the same computer brand new for the sale price. He assured me Yes, no problem they will honor the sale price. I then asked if they would even if its not on sale anymore and he said yes. I would have GLADLY paid the sale price for the new item had I known it was going to be this way.Lie #3: I went to the Long Beach store (as the Hawthorn store is 15 miles away and the long beach one is 3 miles away) and upon trying to return it I was told they cannot honor the sale price and I would have to go back to the Hawthorn store and the manager there can take care of it and MAY honor that price and they do that all the time so it should be no problem... So I took the item and went to my car. Lie #4, 5 and 6: Before driving to the Hawthorn store, I looked up- the hawthorn stores number and called them and spoke with an associate. First, I asked if this was the Hawthorne store number and he said yes. (Lie #1) and then I explained the situation and asked him to VERIFY that if I drive all the way back to the Hawthorn store, they would guarantee that I would be able to purchase the item at the sale price even though its no longer on sale. He put me on a five-minute hold and came back and said yes, they would honor it. (Lie #5) I asked if he spoke to a manager and he said yes, they guaranteed they would honor it. (Lie #6)Lie #7 So I drove to the Hawthorne store and attempted to return it and purchase they new version and was told point blank that they would not honor that, they don't do that and have neve3r done that and the system wouldn't allow it. I explained the situation and she said no, they don't do that. She was not friendly, communicative, or helpful in any way. I know retail is hard and I was being very polite because I know how difficult customer service is and I was trying to be understanding but I finally had it and asked her if she under stood my frustration at being lied to by multiple associates and then she informed me that I must have spoken to someone in corporate because you can't call into he store and speak to anyone and that they don't have a direct line into the store. Which is a total lie because I have called other best buys, spoken to someone, gone down to the store and have actually spoken to that associate. I know it was them because they recognized my voice (Going through cancer and my voice is raw and Hoarse.) Rather than yell and scream I returned the item then told other customers (politely) not to buy from here and that this place is a total fraud and rip-off. Lie #8: I went to my car and calmed down and called Customer service and after explaining the situation multiple times to multiple representatives (this is the twelfth time I repeated the entire store, adding to it each time as new lies were told to me) and then I escalated this up to the manager who apologized and said there's nothing they can do. I asked to speak to his direct manager and was told he's busy bu I will get a call back within 30 minutes... Guess what? NO CALL BACK.... It's now two

The service at this Best Buy easily exceeds any I have ever experienced period. I was helped by Bella and Omar who were incredibly friendly they gave me a better understanding of my options in the store, and guided me through their selection of store items so I could make the best decision in my purchase based on the best value and my needs at the moment. 10/10 you need to come to this location. Thank you Bella and Omar. You both made my day and started my morning off on a positive note when I was in a tough situation in life. I'll never forget it. Eff this Best Buy, never again. More reason to stay loyal to Amazon. Waited in a long ass line to exchange a defaulted headphone within my returned period, the gaming headphones they have on display doesn't even work to try out, most of their merchandise r sloppy, nothing in stock. Came back to the return line and the same lady ask me, "how can I help you?" Wtf u just help me told me to come back to u. Instead, she told me to wait in that long ass line again. Fuck that, thank goodness Omar notice how upset I was and immediately move me up to the front of the line to process my refund. Staff here do no look happy. It's just a matter of time before this location closed down. Best Buy, I'm done w u.

Well, they haven't improved since last time I called for service. Thought I had a new appointment all set up and got a call cancelling the appointment two hour before the window. More spoiled food from the $2000 refrigerator/ freezer . At least they stopped outsourcing their service calls since the last time, but they still can't keep an appointment schedule without a reschedule. Ver disappointing. I will not buy another appliance there ever again. I wish Sears was still around!!

Great experience here. I walked in after going to Apple and a few other computers spots. I needed help to reset my password. When I got here I was greeted with a smile, and the team here at this Best Buy helped me unlock my computer, reset the password without having to delete everything.Super thankful!!!Again thank you for your help!! Best buy customer service over the phone is garbage. Call in regarding setting up payments to go toward the promotional TV I putchase they said it's to early to set it up but if I don't pay it on time you want to add all the interest. WOW

I just spent a little over $3,000 on a dishwasher, washer/dryer. They were scheduled to be delivered yesterday. I did not realize that Best Buy seemingly outsourced their deliveries and installation teams elsewhere. Two weeks ago a team showed up to install the washer/dryer. They parked their massive truck in the alley behind my building, came up and looked at the situation. They told me they would be unable to install because I needed to replace some valves. No problem. I replaced them and rescheduled installation for yesterday. Here's where it gets weird... A man showed up who barely spoke English. He claimed he was robbed last week and there was nowhere to safely park his truck so he was unwilling to install the washer/dryer. Welcome to California where the crime and attitude on people is outrageous at best. I really don't know what that man expects to do with his life when his job is to deliver expensive equipment in Southern California. The crime will only get worse til the citizens have an attitude adjustment and parking will always be a nightmare. I'm heading to Best Buy as soon as they open to cancel and get a refund.The delivery guy claimed there was a Home Depot truck parked in the alley when he actually went to look at it. Well now that I know Home Depot seems to send their own people I'm probably going to go there and see what they have to offer.The good thing about this experience was the salesperson. He was great. I feel bad that he's about to lose his commission but this is unacceptable from Best Buy.

My visit was for one item, a car charger for my cell phone.The young woman who initially served me was busy yaking and singing. She handed me a box, advising it was the best. Perhaps, but it wasn't for an automobile. It would have been found for a wall outlet.Sales person #2 was a young man who was much more focused. His recommendation was perfect. I am a happy customer thanks to his effort.

Getting charged Fees no one even told me about on my statements. Also an annual fee that wasn't even mention when I got the card. My statement balance went up $300 without notice and messed up my credit score. Never buying anything here again

I ordered a TV and needed to pick it up from this location. To make the long story short there was a few issues with my order. I worked with Cesar at this store and he was able to help me, understand my issue, and remedy the situation. He was very attentive, and had great customer service. I highly recommend this location.

I found the employees inside the store to be helpful and professional. The delivery service they use could not be worse. I was recently given a 6 hour window which they called and changed it to a four hour window. After 5 hours I called and spoke to a vet nice person who said in reading the 3rd party company remarks, they could not complete the delivery with no reason given. She did the best she could. Why do they keep this company that ruins there otherwise good company reputation????

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Purchased a computer online to have it picked up within the hour, I went to pick up the computer excited to get home and start working, come to find out it's damaged and the LCD screen was broken. The next day I took it back to Best Buy and they tell me there's nothing they can do, once I leave the store with the item, it is now my responsibility regardless of the condition it was in when it left the store. They have zero empathy, zero customer service skills and complete disregard to customer satisfaction. I asked the manager to review the cameras from the prior days pickup and verify to damage to the box, she was unwilling to do so. My heart was in my stomach at this point, after spending a lot of money just to find out I'm out of luck. Moral of the story buy protection and make sure the items working before leaving the store... what has this world come too??
