I recommend having a good idea of what your item is worth. My item was valued as an 18k instead of 22k and reassessed only when I questioned the low $ value compared to an appraisal I had done. Even then, the new valuation is the same as one I got 3 months prior from another buyer when gold was 12% cheaper. Light-hearted negotiation was met with sarcastic condescension.

I’ve been here twice now to sell random gold, and both times I’ve gotten a solid deal. I went to another gold appraiser and was offered $100 less, in three times the amount of time. The employees are quick to help the customers, and knowledgeable. Very clean even when the store has millions of items everywhere. Been very busy both times I went and I see why customers return. Definitely gonna keep Liberty Coin at the top of my list when I need to sell gold, 5/5 stars deserved.

I believe it was Ryan I spoke to and dealt with. I was very pleased with him and the treatment given. He was very kind, helpful and straight to the point during the whole process. Considering my situation I needed that human kindness. I'm appreciative. I'd definitely suggest and would use them again.

I have a few Silver dollars that are over 100 years old and went in for an appraisal. The gentleman that assisted me was very knowledgeable about coins. He shared with me that as a child he used to have his father drive him to the original store location to look at coins. This is a large store with a huge selection of coins that has been in business since 1964. They are located in a shopping plaza, so parking is not an issue.

My friend recommended this company to me for selling coins and ok family jewelry. Although it was a drive from Glendale, it was worth it. I brought all my goodies and the gentleman patiently sorted and tested them and offered me $2,404 for the lot. Woohoo! I was expecting a few hundred, but gold is up so I did well. Because I went on a Saturday to avoid traffic, the store was busy so it did take awhile, so try to go in a weekday.

Can't be sure it we are talking rip off or honest mistake. Walked in with a 50gm Credit Suisse gold bar. "How much can I get for this?"; answer from the clerk: "$1K". A 50gm bar is worth over $3K. "What gives? I looked it up before I came over. Internet says $3K". "Oh, my mistake, thought it was a 1oz bar". Really? From a supposed numimatic professional? And of course the error would be in the store's favor. Gimme a break.
