Called to ask pricing to hem straight leg pants. I was told the price was $11 so I went there (twice), and seamstress was not there. Third time I went, I got the pants measured & left them for alterations. Came back to pick them up & I was charged $28 and was told that no one ever quoted me that price of $11. If I knew it was going to be $28, I would have gone elsewhere!

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by my experience with this place. I was a new customer and brought in a pair of jeans to have hemmed. I explicitly asked the gentleman who helped me if they could keep the hem and cuff of the jeans exactly as it was. He assured me that they could. He also told me that it would cost $25. I picked up my jeans today and was surprised and upset to find that while the bottom of the hem was kept, the cuff was not. They had stitched the top part of the hem unevenly and in a manner that looked completely different from what the jeans had had when I brought them in. If I had known they couldn't do what I asked, I would have returned these expensive and brand new jeans and not had them hemmed. I bought them in large part because of the cool bottom. I talked with the staff for a long time and they told me that they couldn't do what I had asked for. This is fine but they should have called me before ruining my jeans. Then, they told me that the cost was actually $30 even though my claim ticket said $25. They refused to honor the price I'd been given. Frankly, they should not have charged me at all! They ruined my pants. I wish I had refused to pay! I will never go back to this place and recommend that you don't either. The service was terrible and the quality of work was too. I wanted so badly to like this place since it is local!

These ladies were amazing, I had an emergency situation where I needed to have my Dogs orthopedic lift harness repaired. He had broken both of his front legs and managed to chew through his harness. It was the only way I could lift him and it wasn't something that I could just go out and buy another one as it had to be special ordered. The alterations were backed up for almost 2 weeks, and I told them my situation, they called me the next day, and it was ready! I was so touched that they did this for me, I am so grateful, and will never forget their kindness. Thank you!

Really wanted this to be my new cleaners since I just moved to SM. Unfortunately it will not be. Dropped off a pair of pants with an intent to pick them up within the same week. On Friday I showed up at about 7:15 since the hours on the claim ticket showed they opened at 07:00. Unfortunately the doors were locked. There was a paper sign in the window that said their hours had changed to 08:00. So I came back 1 hour later at 08:15 and the doors were still locked. I came back the following Monday at around 2:00 p.m. to locked doors and a sign that said they will be back in 5 min. 15 minutes later they opened the doors. When I asked the lady working acted like I was in the wrong for not knowing their hours. Overall the customer service was very poor and the lack of respect for people’s time does not work for me. Hopefully the owner reads this and is able to adjust their hours to hours they can commit to as a business.

It pains me to write a negative review for a local Sierra Madre small business, but if I could rate Pantorium a zero, I would. My daughter and I brought her prom dress in a couple of weeks ago for alterations because Pantorium is close by and I like to support local businesses. I also brought my other child's pants in to be hemmed at the same time. I was charged $15 for the pants hemming, and $70 for the alterations to my daughter's prom dress. When my daughter picked up her dress and tried it on at home, we found that the waist had been taken in, but the seamstress had not touched the shoulders or bust, despite pinning that area and promising and charging for complete alterations. Moreso, there were stains from pressing the dress that weren't there when we dropped it off.I called Pantorium the next day to discuss my concerns. The seamstress had already left for the day, but they asked my daughter to bring in the dress the following day. The woman I spoke with there promised to talk to the seamstress about my concerns and call me at 10am the following morning to plan for what they could do to finish it before prom. They never called as promised. My daughter brought the dress back in after school as instructed and was told there was nothing they could do about the (new) stains and that they were unable to take in the bust as originally promised and paid for.I feel duped. I paid $70 to tailor this dress to my daughter's shape, and after promising to tailor the entire dress, it's only half done. I spent 4 hours of my time tonight in a pinch to take in the dress so it's ready for prom tomorrow because this business wasn't able to complete or fix the alterations I paid for, tell me the alterations we paid for weren't possible up front (still not sure why, when I was able to do it myself), or communicate with me and/or fix their mistakes as promised. My daughter went through a lot of needless stress about this in the past few days, and I wish I could have spared her this by using a different business.I can't comment on their drycleaning, but if you're looking for quality alterations, please go elsewhere. Pantorium is eager to promise and charge for work up front, but they are completely uninterested in doing a complete, good job for local customers.Service: Alterations

Originally I had one star but I have upgraded since I got refunded for the silver blouse that was destroyed. After 3 weeks of them saying my top was somewhere else I saw that my top had black stains all over it- the black DKNY tag on it bled through and left marks everywhere. I asked for a refund and their first reaction was that it was my fault. This top was brand new! They actually suggested that I take it back to Macy's. Anyway I finally did get my money back for the worth of the top- but even with the accident I would have gone back if they had been kind about it from the beginning.

If I could give no stars I would. I've used them off and on for about 8 years; never a great job or phenomenal cleaning but they are local and fast. Last week I took a very expensive coat straight from the department store to Pantorium to have it cleaned. Picked it up two days later and the belt is missing. I point it out right away, and the woman says there was no belt or she would have made a note of it. Literally drove this jacket from the mall to the cleaners with the tags still on it and the belt WRAPPED around the coat. Unbelievably rude, and wouldn't even call the offsite company they use to check. I am so upset and disappointed. Never again will I be paying their outrageous prices.

The service here is awesome. I needed a comforter cleaned before I left town to take as a gift. They stayed open an extra hour and the owner ensured I got it before I left town. It’s hard to find good service but Pantorium came through!!!!!!!! Thank you!!

I took a dress here for the sleeves to be altered and a hook clasp to be added in the back. They were very friendly. I tried the dress on and she pinned it accordingly. Got it back a week later and it's been ruined. The sleeves are so tight I can't get my arms fully, so the shoulders keep falling off and I can no longer bend my arms. She also replaced the zipper when adding the hook because it is much tighter than it was before. I could comfortably sit down and move, now I am totally restricted and keep hearing seams pop. Do not trust with your clothing.

DO NOT go to this cleaner! I picked up a jacket and noticed the stains (minor stain) were not removed. By the way, this is not first time. This happened about 2 years ago. And they have not changed.
When I pointed the stains to the heavyset lady, she proudly answered, “we can’t guarantee all statins will be removed. We can try again. I think these stains were already there and most likely we won’t be able to remove them.”
Um...lady what if there were originally two small stains and the both stains were still remaing after paying $8.50. And what if I need the jacket for tomorrow? How about apologying for your poor service and attitude? What do you mean the stains were already there??? Literally, It was like she just stole $8.50 from me!
