“Although it’s a 20 minute drive, Howie’s is worth the drive. We’ve found a bunch of food items not carried in the larger markets. The meat department is top notch in terms of quality and service. It’s a pleasure to shop at Howies”
“Meat is good and nicely cut. No excess fat left. Always stocked up. Nice store if you forget your veggie, sauce, rice or bread from the market. Clean and organized. Plus they sell beer only no bottles.”
“Came for lamb and beef hot pot meats and saw that they offer a great variety of meats and hot pot necessities. The store clerk was super friendly and offered a couple free sauce packets to go with my purchase too. Looking forward to stopping here again in the future!”

112 N Gage Ave, Los Angeles“This is one of favorite locations to get my meat for grilling:) Everyone there is very nice. The place was close for a bit but it opened a few weeks back I can’t remember exact dates but I do know they made the store look so much better. It’s very clean and very organized.”
“Favorite place to get frozen meat for hot pot in large quantities at affordable prices. They have a great selection, including different kinds of beef, lamb, pork, and fish.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Located close to the 99 Ranch, it’s convenient enough to stop by here for hot pot meat instead. The store is organized with a series of meat freezers, each clearly labeled with what's inside.
There’s a parking lot that is typically 50-75% full, depending on the time of day.”

4732 E Cesar E Chavez Ave, Los Angeles“Never been to a meat market before but I didn't want to marinate any meats for meal prep. Small parking lot, compact meat market but everything you need to make lunch or dinner.I browsed all the marinated meat selections they had and they didn't have the flap meat marinated but they said they could marinate any meat i want. I got 3 pounds of marinated flap meat and a container of the freshest guacamole!I would definitely come back again for more meat for my meal preps!”

913 N Sunset Ave, La Puente“So I rarely leave reviews but felt that this place warranted one. I rarely eat pork if ever maybe once a year, with that said I go next door to this salon place but not for what you think. Was waiting and saw a lot of people coming and going at the meat place "LUPITA'S" next door, I'm always hesitant to try at those places but low and behold my mom who goes to the same beauty place was waiting and grabbed some carnitas and brought me some OMG that carnitas was soooo good, not greasy at all and hardly any fat, well my mom said you have to tell the man no GORDO Lmao. Aye my mom, I don't speak Spanish but I don't think that is the correct term in Spanish for FAT lol. Sooo I do recommend that anyone who is in the area grab carnitas, asada, or chicken. I hear it's all good and they have an "A" rating which is something I look for when buying or eating at an establishment. Ooh ooh forgot they even make food my mom said they make your burritos with fresh meat grab the raw asada and cook it and then make your burrito, yum! Talk about fresh, right!!”
“Friendly place and quick unloading. Can park on the street if you wish to come early. They open at 08:00. Was in & out within an hr. Will deliver for them again”
“Was around the area working on a installation in house and after a good days work a cold one is well deserved and I'm glad I stopped by here for my cold one. Thank you "V" great customer service.”
“I needed to put together a bbq for 10 people with less than an hour to prepare. I used Yelp to find the closest carniceria. Metro was the closest. I got everything I needed. Carne, salsa, onions, radishes, charcoal, beer etc. My bbq was a success!! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Metro is a great 1 stop market. I will be back soon.”
“Big thanks to Kenny for his update re: temp closure. The sausages from this establishment are by far much better than anything available at Asian grocery stores throughout Bay Area and So Cal. Believe me I’ve tried most of em.”
“This Tuesday evening farmers market is amazing! I didn’t know it was here until I had a chance to drop by the Flower shop around the corners. Awesome rose yogurt Yogurt and The Customized Thai Tea that the sweetness can be adjusted and non dairy option?”
“Good tamales. Friendly service. If you don't speak Spanish, you might have a difficult time ordering (just a heads up). As a bonus, there's an extremely charming cat you might cross paths with if you park on the street.”
“Los Toros Meat Market is a great neighborhood Meat Market (carniceria) with a little bit of everything in one small Market. Everyone is very helpful and patient. They have a hot food counter with a variety of specialty dishes. The butchers are very nice and helpful as well. They have a great selection of prepared meats ready to grill, to pan-fry, or just cook on the stove top for quick family dinner. They carry a variety of their own Los Toros Meat Market labeled seasonings, micheladas mixes, salsas, and more.On today's visit, we ordered a couple of pounds of aguachiles, which they didn't have any made but still went ahead and made us an order as we continued shopping till our order was done.Great service and a with smile.”
“I loved their Carne asada and ribs super delicious and weren't chewy like other places. The only bad thing was their chicken milanesa..but other than that they are great...better than la princessita”
“Came here for the beef belly! I like it and it's not so fatty!! Love they moved to a bigger street and it's in TC dont need to drive down to MPK!! Clean and staff is super nice!! They speak english here, that's a plus!! Definitely coming back here”

14248 Nelson Ave E, La Puente“I come here for Money sending service to Mexico. The people behind the counter can be a bit serious, At least they get the job done, which might be the most important thing.”
“Best Al pastor meat at a good price in the San Gabriel Valley. I know some places in LA have good Al pastor, but it beats driving the LA traffic when you can get a high quality taco meat locally. Some items are pricey, but it's the cost of convenience.”
“The new management is amazing and they have the best tacos ever! I highly recomendado the tacos mixtos, asada, and al pastor! The tacos are stuffed and the ingredients and salsa are always fresh.”
“This is a remarkable market. It is the only place my family buys meat. We drive up from Orange County to shop there. Beef is USDA Prime and is always amazing quality. It has one of the few full service butcher services available. The butcher case is a wonder to behold. There are expanded grocery and produce departments with good selection. We also like the variety of specialty and gourmet items. We've always found the service there to be friendly and first rate.”
