Great selection for a store its size. The fasteners selection is especially comprehensive. Staff are always game to help problem-solve when an odd DIY question comes up. Doesn't have the options of a big box store, but worth trying your very local place before going to the orange one! My recollection is that they don't accept cards for transactions under $5 - good way to get rid of change.

Great service and selection - it's a breath of fresh air shopping here compared to Home Depot!

I just visited the shop and I found this shop very helpful. The price is also good and they have everything like tools or whatever. The great thing is that we can find out everything very easily.

Have shopped there many times and want the place to be inviting because of the SM location but very unfriendly staff bordering on rude. Not a pleasant experience for a local store. Gave them several chances but now will drive to HD in Pasadena.

I am probably biased because I also have the honor to work here as the gift buyer. With that said, this place is a gem. The employees are like family to one another than this care and concern is given to each customer.

Thank you, Arnold's Frontier Hardware. My leaky kitchen faucet was resolved! It was a waste of time seeking help at Home Depot. At Arnold's, I initially asked for a list of handymen or plumbers. I was given a list to take screenshots. I shared a picture of my faucet stem. I was told a special tool was required. I was pleasantly surprised when I was informed I could borrow it. With the cartridge finally removed, I handed it over to a staff member who identified the replacement. With the cartridge replaced I returned the tool with no problem. I couldn't have done it without their help!!

Super friendly service! Very knowledgeable employees. Basil, the owner, carries a wide selection of hardware and even has a gift section. I have found some great gifts here for friends in the past. The biggest collection variety is fasteners, screws, bolts, nails, Molly bolts, toggles. It is super convenient for me. And I I often find just exactly what I need.

Arnolds is the epitome of what a small, old time, family owned business would have looked and felt like a 100 years ago. And Bob and Jean, their 3 kids have insisted on continuing this heartfelt attitude to this day. They are a small town service, with heart. They know and care deeply for all their customers that live in the community, and will treat you with the same concern, even if you are a new customer. The employees are considerate, kind, helpful, and will treat you like 'Uncle Bob' does when he is in the store. I have been a faithful 'follower' since the late 60's, always being greeted with genuine friendship attitudes. I have read a couple of negative comments here, and the only thing I can, without being there, attribute the comments to, is if you go in with an attitude and KEEP the attitude going, you might wear on most everyone's nerves...including fellow shoppers. This family and their small town business is nothing short of stellar! I now live in another state, but when I revisit the area, I always stop in for a stroll down memory lane, to experience what is now lost in most places!

They have it all and friendly service too. When you go to the big box store you often end up with stuff that is unusable, not here. Just wish they still had their location right near where we liveIt is worth going here even with the high gas prices.

My kitchen sink faucet had a slow leak that was increasing. I went online to HomeDepot. Their website said they had 6 of the ceramic stems I needed in their stock at the Monrovia location. I go there, find the aisle and bay it is located and find no stock at all. I asked two employees who were walking by for assistance who both said they don't work in this department and kept walking. I looked around and one of the cashiers pointed to the "plumbing" employee. I went to him while he was cutting items for another customer. He looked at me like I cut him off on the freeway. I told him I would wait until he was done. After 10 minutes of waiting and combing through the isle to find my ceramic stem, he was gone and I just left. Went home and called around. Almost forgot about Arnold's Frontier Hardware because I used the shop the Duarte location before they closed down. I went down to the Sierra Madre location and the manager Craig helped me get the right ceramic stem based on the old stem I brought in. He opened the package to show me how it is installed and what to look out for if I had an issue. I purchased the needed item and went home to install. Turns out I did have a problem and if it weren't for Craig's help and above and beyond advice, I would have been on youtube for hours trying to figure it out. Home Depot employees won't even help you let alone give good advice. If you have something that needs fixing around the house, go to Arnold's first. They deserve the first shot at everyone's business. Thank you Craig Fink!
