Not sure where to begin. Well let's start with why I came here. I got in trouble for doing some stupid stuff with my Jeep, I was drunk. When I went to court they gave me an option to go through a program for people with substance abuse, so I could clear the stupid felony I might have gotten. I said yes I do have that as I smoked weed and drank in excess for most of my adult life. Before this I was in an out of treatment programs, sober living, AA, MA, any kind of A program you could find, and nothing worked for me. The whole time I never wanted to get sober, and just did it because I was told to by my parents or something of the sort. I never really connected personally with many people in these programs, because smoking weed like snoop, and not being a hard alcoholic made me think I didn't have as big of a problem as other people did. While that might be true to an extent, one thing I did know is that I was an addict, and basically did whatever came by way when drunk or high, I really didn't care. The first year I was over at twin town I didn't take it seriously. Because I never really wanted to quit. Not that they were not supportive of everyone, and didn't do a good job, but when you are in your mindset of not wanting to change, it's hard to take advice from anyone. But they didn't give up on me by any stretch. My point being is this....right now I'm 5 months sober off of drinking, and 3 months off of weed. I never felt better in all my life, and now that I feel the need to not use, I finally see what a blessing Twin Town has been for me. They don't follow other programs, they don't push anything on you. They make you feel very very welcome when you come through the doors, no matter if you want to get clean, or are still suffering as most do in these situations. I see how Twin Town has helped me realize there are better things than using, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's not easy being us it really isn't. But the people that work here have first hand experience what it's like being an addict, and they understand us better than anyone else has. It's a simple program if you want to get clean. Even if you don't care to or your not at that point of recovery, Twin Town will be there for you no matter what. The other people that attend meetings are really great for the most part. You meet new people all the time, and you hear about how other people are doing with their lives, and the meeting hosts offer great advice for things you deal with. The meetings usually start with people checking in to say how they feel that day. Then a couple other questions about something in life. After that everyone gets a chance to share anything going on in their life. Then the group will get to make comments on how the relate, or offer advice, as well as the meeting hosts will give their professional advice. I'm really glad I came here. No matter if you volunteer to come here court ordered or not, Twin Town I believe is the best place in the world if you really do care about improving your life. Thank you so much for making me believe in a better future, and I hope everyone else that comes here gets to experience the joy I feel in my life. After using non-stop for 25 years+(being 43) I can finally tell you it's something I feel like I'm going to defeat! Also if you make it through the program and do not leave as some people will, addiction will do that to you, they will let you come to as many more meetings as you want to...so you don't feel like you are being thrown away after your time is up. Also they have you do homework, and other things. Offer papers on how to get jobs, seek help, and just about anything else that might be effecting your life. I think I might have gone on a bit here, so I'll leave it at that. Thank you again for being here for me, and not pushing me away because I was not perfect at first. Then again I will never be perfect as addiction is a lifelong battle.

Please make sure you know what your billing process is with them, they should have ran it through my insurance, but instead I ended up with a huge bill. Tried to settle, but instead ended up in collection. Bummer when they take advantage of someone seeking help. Not saying the program is bad, just saying be careful of their billing process, because they will not work with you, I tried several times.
