Update 10/19: took my dog today and Dr. Goss treated her. He remembered her from her last visit a year ago. He is patient and informative. The team here is so caring. We know our pets are in good hands.

Let me start by saying most of the vet techs here were friendly and Jan (practice manager) was proactive and kind (more detail on that below). However, my first appt. was a terrible experience, and it just got worse.
Dr. Goss wasn’t attentive or friendly during the appt, didn’t properly read what vaccines my puppy already had and was about to give her a vaccine that was already given to her 7 days prior. He then accused me of misinforming him when I literally handed him my phone to see the specific vaccines and dates (which I had uploaded to the client portal the night before). Clearly no one paid attention to that either.
I thought I'd give them another chance with a different vet for her second vaccine appt. I called and also asked what happened with her fecal results; I was told "Oh, Dr. Goss handed that to someone who was going on vacay and we forgot to tell you." Mind you, my puppy needed meds for worms. They had results within 24hrs but disclosed the results a week later when I called to follow up. And another vet I went to a few days later confirmed that the Albon dosing was incorrect...too much and for too long (I had my suspicions after some online research but needed a professional to confirm).
Dr. Goss lacks bedside manner, doesn't know what he's doing, nor does he care.
I will give credit to the practice manager, Jan, who immediately called me after sending an email about my experiences. She was kind, apologetic, and gave me a refund for their "services." Unfortunately, I can't trust this vet and won't be returning.
If you care about your pet, do NOT go here. Save yourself the frustration and potential harm to your pet. I went to Southpaw Vets in Sherman Oaks and the experience was amazing.

We came in when our dog was experiencing respiratory problems. Sherman oaks Veterinary group took Dino right in and took good care of him. The doctor has followed up to make sure he’s doing ok. Dr. Jamey Abeles is caring, knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. Thank you for taking care of Dino.

Always chaotic, always extremely noisy, always overcrowded, and expect long, long waits. The doctors and nurses are great…that being said, the nurses are many and are all very loud in the lobby. Not a good place for cats.

Super helpful, caring front desk staff with professional, top grade veterinarians. Have been going to SOVG for over 20 years, through four dogs, and could not ask for more. ❤️ I now even live further away but am not going to change vets - no way!!

I can’t recommend this vet enough! Dr. Weston Richter, Dr. Andrea Richter, Dr. Matt Lockhart, and Dr. Matthew Goss are incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate professionals. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, even during busy times. They’re open seven days a week and accept walk-ins, which is so convenient. I love my pets and feel confident knowing they’ll receive the best care here. I always tell friends and family about them!

This place was the vet for my two dogs, one unfortunately passed due to unknown reasons and my other us a old dog. Last year my dog had blood work and was told it was normal, this year I was told the same thing. Both times was seen by Dr Matthew Goss via walk-in. During both visits we were also told she had an ear infection, which surprised us since she didn’t have symptoms. I had them treat it last year but not this year. My dog had a seizure last week and have been having muscle spasms. I asked for copy of her records and I see the two bloodwork from this year and last year were NOT normal. She had increased potassium, decreased sodium and sugar levels low twice! How is this normal to Dr Goss! If glucose comes out low twice why not just redo it? That’s common sense. Now we running around trying to see why she had a seizure and muscle spasms. In regards to the ear infection, another vet looked at her and her ears are normal! I don’t know why he is lying to patient about their dog having an ear infection twice!!
Spoke to manager Jenn, sweet and informed me of their “reason “ but not once apologized just excuses. Rest of the staff are very sweet, and they are helpful and quick, which is why I gave them 2 stars. But Dr Mathew Goss, someone needs to teach him how an actual ear infection looks like.

We've been taking our pups here for 10 years now and completely trust the staff here to treat our girls with love on every visit. The only downside is that they're so popular that they're often pretty busy so I recommend trying to make appointments if possible. Great business though, highly recommended
