I’ve been getting my hair cut & colored by the owner, Eli for almost 20 years! I’ve also had my hair done by other stylists at this salon who were equally as skilled. They do great updo’s for weddings too - I loved mine! This salon is by far one of the best in LA! Highly recommend for cutting edge color, cut & style!

BEST SALON in LA! I started coming to Salon True in 2018, with Elia as my stylist and I cannot say enough good things about this salon, the staff, stylists, ambiance & results! Let me tell you, my experience as someone who’s tried several salons in SoCal. I walked in back in 2018 after finding their instagram page and decided to give them a try. I thought I would be greeted by an intimidating & pretentious environment as this is a high end salon, however it was quite the opposite! The salon owner and my stylist Elia welcomes you with a warm and inviting smile and treats you like you’re family. And don’t let his humble & super kind demeanor fool you - He’s an absolute beast when it comes to coloring, balayage, styling and cutting hair. I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair and I never hesitate to let them know who does this perfectly melted balayage that seemingly is always a tone that always brightens my eyes and complexion! Elia is an absolute genius artist! Don’t fret if you don’t get Elia, each stylist has been trained with his technique and it’s so heartwarming to see him work closely with his other stylists and train them to be the best at what they do. He truly ensures his team is equipped with the most cutting edge techniques to guarantee each client walks out feeling and looking like the best version of themselves. Like a celebrity professionally made over for the red carpet! I’ve talked to many clients I’ve met at the salon over the years and it’s truly NOT surprising that every one I’ve talked to has stuck with salon true for years and doesn’t plan on ever leaving! Trust Salon True and see what all the rave is about. They are the BEST in the game. I promise you, I’ve seen and tried them all!

I’ve been coming here for three years but after the past two visits, I won’t be. I understand that stylists rates can go up, but the fact the rate for a simple root touch up went from $90 to $120 in three years is insanity. Plus, the salon charged me $125 for a simple square cut. Due to the outrageous pricing, I will be looking for another salon.

Update: While I found a great stylist to handle my blonde dreams, the salon ended up being a nightmare. I started to really dislike going in because everyone that worked there seemed so miserable, and were always talking negatively about clients and co-workers alike while I was there in the chair to hear it. The management didn't care and was clearly extremely unprofessional. I was paying too much money to be in such a negative awful, environment and thankfully have since switched salons. Luckily my favorite stylist that I found thereleft so I was able to follow him to his new salon and leave the negativity and "high school" vibes behind!

Did my haircut with Emily Grimm and she left my hair sooo healthy and with a great style!! Cut it one day before my wedding and everyone was complementing it!! Totally recommend her ❤️❤️❤️

Tara is an absolute gem! From her warm welcome to her meticulous attention to detail, every moment of my hair appointment was fantastic. Amalya is amazing! Her attention to detail is incredibleee. I got a full balayage and haircut and the result is exactly what I was looking for. The dimension, blonde tone, everything! She went the extra mile to make sure we were on the path I was hoping for and that my hair was healthy with the bleach/color. SO happy! Thank you Amalya!! Before & after below :)

I had a haircut with Edgar over the weekend and he was great! Your was very meticulous and made sure I walked out happy! I will definitely go back again. The salon itself was beautiful too!

I requested a full cut and color and Tara was wonderful. Not only did it come out perfectly, but my entire experience was amazing. And Tara gives the BEST scalp massages! The salon is beautiful and the music was great. I left very satisfied and fabulously ready for a night out.

I was lucky to get my first Rick Henry haircut as a birthday treat at the end of January 2020 and I loved everything about it! The pandemic put a long pause in my return. When I was finally able to return, Rick welcomed me with his signature genuine smile that both lights up the room & makes you feel like you are his only client of the day (...even though his dance card is fully punched for the day, and he literally just returned from / or is about to jet-set around the world with some of the biggest superstar clients, person of the year & athletes) Rick is THE pro, and remains super authentic, chill & down to earth.. we can talk about our pets during the whole cut appointment (bonus...he's a huge animal-lover), and I leave with the best haircut each time! Rick listens keenly, advises without upselling, AND he doesn't cut shorter than requested (like many others do). His long layers slay as much as his pixie cuts. Most of all, Rick makes time and he is as kind as he is brilliant at his craft. I feel lucky & grateful each time I get to be in Rick's chair - truly a special treat!

Kamiah is a fantastic colorist! My hair looks beautiful after she skillfully put hi-lights and lo-lights in it. Also my hair feels and looks soft and healthy. I’ve had several “I love your hair! It’s so pretty!” comments soon after Kamiah colored my hair. I highly recommend Kamiah for all your hair styling and hair coloring needs!

I’ve been having Elia cut my hair for years and he is a perfectionist in great hair cut! Recently I had a balayage done with Elia and he showed that he’s a true master of hair coloring as well! So glad I found Salon True and Elia!

It had been awhile since going back to this Salon, due to life changes, having kids, moving etc. It was sooooooo refreshing being back and getting a professional haircut!!! I had tried other salons that were more local to me (Huntington Beach) but I always left disappointed. It's a long drive but well worth it!!

This place is very clean the atmosphere is good feeling the service the attention from the hair stylist and the receptionist!!! Very good and I love my hair made by Leslie ortiz she is the best ❤️
