My friend had an appointment with Rosa. When we arrived I asked her to quote me on getting baby highlights and color. Her immediate response was "we're very expensive in this salon". I proceeded to ask the question again and she looked at me up and down and repeated the same response. I was saddened by her response. It was clear that she did not wish to help me for being a Latina. Needless to say that my friend will never go back. BTW Rosa is also a Latina. Goes to show you that racism also exists within us. Horrible experience. It reminded me of the scene in "Pretty Woman" where the sales clerks were rude.
