I’m a photojournalist and I called in looking for a pair of waders for storm coverage. The crew at the shop took the time and talked me through some of the options for my specific needs on the phone. At the store the whole team really helped to make sure all equipment fit and I was prepared for using the waders properly. They even found me a great deal on some sale items which was incredibly helpful. This shop has the kind of genuine friendliness, knowledge and fun that seems to be lost in the current shopping market. I will definitely be retuning here for all future wading needs and my now seemingly inevitable venture into fly fishing.

Awesome trip! Took my brother and some friends for his birthday and we had a great time. Everyone caught fish and Brian and his crew did a great job helping us. We had a great time and would recommend anyone I know to come and check this place out. I will be coming back for my next fishing trip! Thanks Brian!

Amazing experience! We've never gone fishing before but I'm a closet Wicked Tuna fan and have always wanted to go fishing. My husband booked this trip for my birthday present and it was a dream come true!Even though we ate two bananas on the boat (which is apparently bad luck, oops) we reeled in two keepable sturgeons and another person on our boat caught two more. We caught a few bass but they were just short of 18 inches, so they got to live another day :P

I've been coming here almost weekly now for the last 8 months. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and eager to answer all your questions relating to gear, fly tying, rig set up and more. I've taken the intro to Fly Fishing class with Dave which was greatly informative as well as Fly Fishing the Surf class with Frank, both of which I highly recommend as both were great instructors and they continue to help me to this day dialing in my game during informal chats at the shop. 6 stars.

I'm new to fishing so I called Bob and he gave me great info about the types of fishing around LA and the costs. It's more affordable than I thought. Looking forward to coming into the shop and getting started.
