I worked 18 Years in Retail different Stores and pretty sure that’s not legal!!! Only if the Store thinks you stole something and needs investigation against you filing a case they are not aloud to do this ! Check CA penal code 490.5 shopkeepers privilege law !!!

“I have been using Rocky since 2017. He has the best custom clothing around. I have roughly 30+ dress shirts and 2 suits and the quality is amazing. Turnaround time is quick and Rocky always provides phenomenal customer service. The clothing last and is worth the investment!
