“Fantastic shop, accommodated me after multiple local shops refused the fix. Quick turn around, fair price and a friendly atmosphere. I was described everything that was done at my request, and learned a bit in the process. 5 genuine stars.”

“The customer service is over the top! They are so knowledgeable and helpful. Our bike rack was broken so they delivered our repaired bikes quickly and for a very fair price. This is not the closest bike shop to my house but worth the drive.”

“I hadn't done any maintenance on my ebike since I bought it 2 years ago so you can imagine how bad it needed it. I thought I only needed a tune up but there were a lot of issues with my bicycle I didn't know about. These guys went above and beyond to get it all done in a timely manner. They're affordable as well. Best e-bike shop I've ever been to. No matter where you're coming from, it's worth the drive for the quality of work.”

“These guys are awesome and the bike shop amazing. I go out there once a year and always stop by to say hi to Chris. Special place to be sure. If you are lucky they will take you out for a ride the first Saturday of the month, and don't forget to peruse the leather goods!”

“Nothing but amazing things to say. I got Jose to build me my dream bike. Needless to say he went above and beyond. Great guy, super nice, very helpful, knowledgable and knows what he is talking about. What else do you need other than that?!”

“I have been a serious cyclist for a few decades now. Over that time, I have had multiple bikes and multiple bike fitters. Nate is one of the best there is for bike fitting in SoCal.Nate's approach to bike fitting is thoughtful. He takes time to talk to you about your physiology and history of (if any) injuries prior to beginning the fitting. He even had me walk up and down the hallway to examine my gait and and identify any asymmetries that could translate to pain on the bicycle.Ultimately, I got a great fit from Nate from the bike all the way down to the precision cleat fitting. I try to see Nate at least once per year when I'm riding hard to ensure that my fit and cleat position remains optimal.Even better, Nate is not a "salesman"--he will treat you honestly and focus on the fundamentals of bike fit. I highly recommend Nate for your bike fit and cleat fit.”

“Great shop, huge selections of bikes of all types, brands and models with competitive pricing. The staff are very professional and helpful, and were able to exchange the bike I purchased for a different size as the one I picked up was not the right fit. Very happy with my experience at Helen's, I'll be happy to give them my business in the future.”

“As a long-time cyclist in LA, I have noticed that everyone has a different 'favorite' bike shop and everyone has an equally scary horror bike experience. Fortunately, for me, my horror story led to my new favorite bike store. I was riding my new e-bike when it broke down. And when a 75 pound bike breaks down, you got big problems! The manufacturer recommended I talk to the service department at Specialized Santa Monica. I called Marcos and explained that I had no way to get my bike to the store; and he offered to come out and pick it up. He spoke with the manufacturer who agreed to cover all of the costs of repair...and the transport costs, as well. Although it took several attempts to fix the bike electrical system, Marcos offered to bring it back to me (to see if the problem was resolved) and if it wasn't, to lend me a bike until I was completely satisfied. Long story short, the manufacturer couldn't isolate the problem and agreed to give me a brand-new bike. Marcos delivered the new bike to my home and personally fitted to to me. I could not have asked for better service!”

“Thank you Julian and John for taking care of me and my bikes!Another shop tried to get me to buy extra parts and do extra services (break housing, pads, wires, break adjustment and alignment), none which my bike needed. At Reseda Bicycles however, I found out they both just needed an alignment. I used the extra money to buy new tires and get a full tune up.Julian was awesome. Diagnosed the problems with my bikes quickly and taught me about fixing them and avoiding those problems in the future.Super fair prices. Great experience.”

“I have an old, not-expensive-but-dependable bike that I commute on daily. My front brake cable snapped this morning, and Nir was able to fix it super fast (while I waited!) and for a fair price. I'll definitely return for future bike maintenance and repair.”

“I bought my wife a bike for Christmas here and it was a great experience from start to finish. They even held on to the bike for me until Dec 23rd so I'd be able to surprise her on Christmas Eve. Lifetime maintenance included. Love that.”

“It's high time I leave a review for this shop! Since I moved into the area two years ago, I've been coming here for work on my Rad Power Bike. They don't sell Rad, but they have been wonderful in helping me fix my bike after a couple of crashes, and when a guy tried to steal it and ran it into a tree. They're very friendly and have gone above and beyond more than once for me. Recently, the bell I purchased early last year broke and they didn't have others in stock and none of the ones they had were as loud. It happened that one of the mechanics happened to have the same bell, so he sold me his for a good deal. This is what I mean. It's got that small town, neighborhood bike shop feel. I'll be a customer for as long as I live here!”

“Rented two bikes for my son (age 11) and I for a few days last April 2023. Staff were really informative and professional on the phone, nothing seemed a problem :)
When we arrived, they had a good stock of bikes - adults and kids - and were diligent to size the saddle height and sort the helmet out for my son to ensure make sure he was safe and comfortable. They provided locks, and explained the simple "support" arrangements in case we had issues on the road. Had a whizz cycling up to the Hollywood sign, and even managed to bike out to Santa Monica (quite a hike through the LA streets but great to see the "other side" of LA). LA has some marked cycle paths, especially in WeHo, otherwise we cycled on pavements (which seemed wide enough - and no-one walks in LA anyway!); the metro system takes bikes too. Bikes performed great - no issues at all. Highly recommend these guys at BikeshopLA. I would definitely use them again ;)”

“Found this shop tucked away on Laurel Canyon Blvd. after trying at least 4 others in the area. I was extremely pleased at the competence, service, pricing and turnaround time.Primary bike: riding occasionally 2 years after 3 years of not much use. Needed a check-up; had been told the chain needed replacing. Chain was OK, did maintenance, explained everything. Detailed the bike and it looks like new!Back-up bike: with this success, I took my back-up bike in for the same treatment. Derailer, chain, tires, tubes - yes, way more expensive. To be fair, all this was deferred maintenance, probably for 8 years. Everything was needed. Also cleaned & detailed - even my back-up bike looks like new. And I feel confident in riding it, or loaning to a friend. The store has great-looking merchandise, nicely displayed.I find the poor reviews puzzling. On all my visits, I observed staff waiting on other customers. Courteous, professional, helping them get what they needed. I've already passed the word to two neighbors. They had the same experience & have shared w others.”
