We have been to this vet with 3 different cats this year and each time has been a great experience! Conner was particularly wonderful when teaching us how to administer subcutaneous fluids. He's so patient and explains things clearly. I like this place because you actually get to see and talk with the doctors. The reception is always welcoming. It's calm here. It doesn't feel chaotic. They explain all costs to you before they do anything so there aren't any surprises. I also feel it's a lot more affordable than a lot of other places we've been.

This is the best vet I've been to out of three in LA. Dr Leach is so thorough, sweet with my kitty, and explains everything. I have no complaints and am just so thankful I was referred to this hospital. My cat is usually so stressed at the vet, hissing and biting and he was SO CALM with everyone.

A few years ago I brought my dog in with what I believed to be a rattlesnake bite. The vet told me she believed it was a recluse spider bite. My dog ended up dying that night of the rattlesnake bite. Because he was a bulldog she could not see bite marks. I looked it up later and there has not been a recluse spider bite in southern California in over 10 years. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

I can't say enough about Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital. Dr. Leach is extremely knowledgeable , professional and kind. I have been going to Dr. Leach for over 20 year. Two Goldens, one Newfoundland and many cats later I would not trade this vet and her techs for anything because they CARE. Debra R. Furry animal lover to Ally Cat,

I brought my cat here for fleas. They did a normal checkup on her as well then treated her for the fleas. I was worried about worms (from flea bites), so they administered a deworming pill.
Sadly my kitty is very stubborn and didn’t take the pill so it was quite the battle. I was really happy with the love, patience and care my baby got during this process. The nurse (I wish I got her name) was so so sweet to her. She was very gentle, talked very softly and lovingly to my cat, and was kissing and petting her the whole time. Which made my cat very calm I could see. My kitty was foaming at the mouth from the bitterness of the pill which made me so sad to see, but I was very comforted seeing that they were handling with such care amidst the chaos; wiping her mouth, scratching her head, giving her treats.
I’m happy to have found a vet that actually knows what they’re doing with cats!
Thank you!

The male receptionist that sits at the left side of the counter, needs some REAL human skills and customer service training!
When you work with people, being the first point of contact in any establishment, you REALLY need to make a positive welcoming impression!
This is not what he provided.
Instead he was bothered that I was even present. I tried to bypass his terrible attitude and make conversation to try and help cleanse his bad energy but he's beyond help!!!
He acted completely entitled (and treated me like I was bothering him) SMH!!! HE'S AT WORK!!! DO YOUR JOB!!! Treating people like they are beneath you is a horrible way to operate PERIOD!!
He possesses no work ethic and showed no human dignity for himself or anyone!! I feel sorry for you!!
I should've recorded him! SMH!! DESPICABLE!!
I'M TRULY CONCERNED!!
Whoever is doing the hiring, needs to evaluate whose managing the front desk! He CLEARLY CANNOT handle his job!! I mean how stressful can it be to answer phone calls and greet clients??
Terrible experience! I will never step foot here again!! I'm taking my business elsewhere!!
RUDE! UNKIND!! IMPATIENT!!
Young man.....I am someone's daughter! Mother! Sister! Friend! Learn to treat people with dignity!!!
I don't think you'd ever want to be mistreated or anyone you love!! Get a grip!!

We've been taking our pets here for years. They've always been patient, thorough, friendly, and kind. They explain things well and always show you the estimate. When we had to put down our longtime pet, they let us do it on our terms, at our pace, and were so considerate, giving us private time with her before and after. I highly recommend and hope your pets live long, healthy lives.

Dr Laurel Leach is extremely knowledgeable and nice as can be. I've been coming here for years with many different animals and they have always gotten the best care. The staff is always professional and friendly. Everything is very clean, which says a lot about their standards. Love them!

Beware of Kathy at reception! I brought my dog here for a checkup. My appointment was at 11 am. I arrived at around 11.05 am. My dog and I were brought back to an examining room. A nice gentleman came in to inform me that they would be seeing me. Time passed. At around 11.42 am, I came out and informed them that I had another appointment and asked how much longer. The vet arrived shortly thereafter. This went ok. Received a a large estimate for diagnosing and treating a potential ear infection - hundreds of dollars. It took them some time to get the estimate and I was running even later for my appointment. I reminded them I had to go. It was at this point that Kathy at the front desk yelled in a loud insulting voice that I had to pay before I left. I told her I didn't appreciate the way she had spoken to me. She then said she refused to take my payment, and that someone else would have to. She clearly intended to make me even later. Every time I've encountered her, she seems flustered by her job and the simplest questions. She also has an attitude. Yet, somehow she continues to work there. If you go here, try to deal with someone else. There are other nice folks at reception. Fortunately, today, there was a professional tall young man who assisted me at reception.

Dr. Leach is a wonderful vet but runs a terrible business. Cat stayed for 8 days . two days more than needed to stay because it took four days to receive a phone call after calling several times a day. very expensive but so are most vets. the $3,000 plus would have been most vets. (Dr. V very good but no communication)I called at 9AM to get release time. At 6PM I called again and was told I could have picked up already. This is not the first time I have had this happen here in the past. (it wasn't under my name then) .One person at front desk always snippy and unfriendly. Management needs work.
