Recently, I brought my beautiful schefflera plant to Armstrong in Sherman Oaks, seeking help for some black leaves. Unfortunately, after following their expert advice to change the soil and pot, which they did it very carelessly, my plant has drastically deteriorated. After many research and talking to other experts to see why it happened to my plant, it is very obvious that they chose a wrong soil for my plant and my plant really didn’t need new pot! Despite reaching out to them, I was told they have no responsibility for the outcome. I am truly disappointed as I care deeply for my plant and expected better guidance from them. I wish it was an option for no star! Before and after photos are attached.

Cold middle of the day and despite it ringing several rounds and going to ahold music, saying how important my call was held for a total of 12 minutes before hanging up and calling back, the second call was put on hold for 22 minutes while I got work done on my computer and still no one picked up – clearly they don’t train their employees to actually care about phone calls. Went to a nearby nursery instead who had the bandwidth to pick up a phone call.

Everyone was soooooooo friendly and knowledgeable. Honestly it is rare to receive great customer service from every person you speak with. All the ladies were lovely but Taylor is amazing! Super knowledge and patient. She took time to answer ALL my questions and helped me to find what I needed in my price point! Thank you and I will be back

Just back from my first visit to this garden centre. It was a hot day but the staff were very happy to give their time and go outside. Very helpful with suggestions and very knowledgable.

Great place with lots of plants. Very cordial, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We did our yard with many plants from here.

Audrey and Manny were very helpful. Manny explained what potting mix i should use for growing vegetables in a container.I want to say thank you for helping me. The cashier was also helpful. They all had wonderful attitudes, willingness to help and a warm morning smile. This is why customers come back to your establishment.

Staff was terrible. Not very knowledgeable, not helpful at all, and totally ignored me when I tried to check out. I ended up ditching my purchases and going to the Glendale Armstrong instead.

We've always had a pleasant experience at the Sherman Oaks location. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and don't seem to mind answering my (sometimes) basic questions. Because of the friendly demeanor and fabulous quality of plants, my home is basically furnished by Armstrong Gardens. 40 houseplants going strong!

This is a great place to shop for plants. They have a diverse selection of tropical and difficult plants to find. The staff is amazing, they are more interested in sharing information than making a sale. They take the time to answer question. It's a great experience all the way around.

This is my happy place. Some people like golf, some like amusement parks, for me, I like nurseries. They're all nice but Armstrong tops the list. Everything you could ever want, indoor and outdoor plants available along with a large selection of soils, amendments and pretty much everything for your landscaping and gardening needs. Great location, plenty of parking, very knowledgeable and help staff and just the perfect atmosphere all year around. Grocery store and dry cleaner across the street. You won't get anymore relaxing than a stroll thru Armstrong. You won't be disappointed.
