This hidden gem near Shaver Lake Gas and Food Mart exceeded my expectations, even as a Mexican food enthusiast from Los Angeles. Despite its unassuming location, the restaurant boasts authentic and skillfully prepared Mexican cuisine. The salsa was a flavor-packed introduction, and I savored their quesabirria special with a side of carne asada taco, complete with consomé for dipping. Even my non-Mexican coworker appreciated the quality and I can tell his taste buds are legit by the way he ordered his food. This spot defies the notion that there's no good Mexican food in the area and is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delicious and genuine south-of-the-boarder experience.

The Mexican food that is prepared and served around the corner of the gas station is AMAZING!!! We had a carnitas burrito and an adobada burrito (if you're from New Mexico you know), and both were HUGE and exceptional! Don't overlook it!

Amazing Mexican food! We took a trip into town from Camp Edison in search of something delicious. If you blink you will miss the Mexican food sign. The restaurant order window is located on the right side of the gas station. We ordered a breakfast burrito, a small cup of horchata, and a small Jamica. The breakfast burrito was very filling and flavorful. We were not disappointed. The staff was very sweet. Give this place a try! My kiddos ate the burrito before I was able to take a picture. I wish I had ordered another one. Ha ha .

First off we got there and it smelled horrible like cigarettes and dead fish, secondly customer service was also horrible he was on his phone didn't bother to help us when the milkshake machine was not functioning, also the machine didn't work for nothing we put one it broke down and it happened to the other two next we asked for thick on the milkshake and it instead we got a water down liquid drink zero flavor. The milkshake machine wasn't even clean it was dirty. The guy didn't let us get a refund we didn't get want we wanted . It was Butt cheeks

Horrible customer service. The milkshake machine didn't function properly, clerk wasn't any help and was extremely rude to us. He wanted us to pay an extra $6 for a milkshake that came out unblended. We put the shake back in the freezer and grabbed a new one. Clerk was no help and asked us to leave. If I could review 0 stars, I would.

Store smelled like old frying grease from the Mexican deli in the back. Ice cream shake machine in back malfunctioned. Clerk just said that we cannot use it again and walked away. Seemed kind of uninterested and rude. He then wanted me to pay for the one that didn't come out. I refused to pay $6 for the shake that the machine did not let me make. At the counter, he tried to charge me for it. I told him I will pay for the ones that I did make, but not for the one that didn't work. After a couple of back-and-forths, he simply said, "OK, leave!!" Instead of taking a $6 loss, I put my other groceries away and the other 2 shakes that were made ($12) we left on the counter. He basically took a loss of over $20 instead of just losing $6 for something that he was liable for. This man is obviously not a wise businessman who values his customers. Very rude.

Owner said I was going to get diabetes cause i was buying some candy. Would never give this place my business again. Jay needs to learn some better people skills and stop being so rude to customers.

If I could leave no stars I would. We went here twice over the weekend for gas and bait and the clerk was so rude. He wouldn't even lift his head to look at us the first time. The second time my husband asked a question and he acted like my husband told him off. He was so rude in his response to the question. If it is such an inconvenience to be polite then don't work where you deal with people!!!!! Not necessary to be so rude!!
