My parents constantly go here and the staff recognize them. This place is very clean and the staff are very nice. The food is also very great and I'll definitely be coming back

This is a private residence, not a bar/business. I don't know if the four people reviewing this place are trolling the homeowners or if the homeowners are running an illegal business out of their house. If they are running a bar out of their house it seems really stupid to advertise it on Google Maps. Maybe someone should contact the ATF or ABC to investigate. If it turns out that those four reviewers are trolling the homeowner then the ATF might not be too happy about having to investigate their fake Google listing. Food for thought...

The oldest bar in Shafter since 1930. Bar is situated in what is called the "La Colonia" or the Colony. The bar has seen its fair share of locals and has some history. The walls are lined with old photos dating back to the 30's. Kinda of a hidden gym in a neighborhood. Don't let the outside fool ya and it could use some TLC. It is a cash only bar and appears it's beer only. There is a pool table and little kitchen serving food. Bartender was polite and served up an ice cold beer. My cohort said their food was supposedly pretty good. Menu showed typical Mexican food flair with tacos, burritos, hamburgers, and Menudo on Sundays. Met the owners and they were polite. She told me the bar was open Thursday through Saturday 1pm till 10 pm and Sundays from 9am till 10 pm. If you like hidden dive bars give it a chance.
