“I've taken vehicles here over six years now. I've had inspections here, fluids changed, catalytic converter installed, battery installed, AC fixed. Excellent service and decent prices. Usually can get cars done same day depending on business or scope of job. Very honest on what needs to be done. Very nice staff. Plenty of space for cars. This is my go to for work on the car and inspections. They literally share a parking lot with Napa Auto Parts, so I'm sure they get a lot of parts fast. Highly recommend.
Also note, they do not work on classic cars. Not marking them down for this though, because looking up how to fix something or get the parts can be difficult for much older vehicles (over 40+ years old).”

“I had excellent service. Friendly and got right to it. I stayed in car all the time so was comfortable as I had friends in carbut they do have nice clean waiting room if you prefer. Filled up window washer, ck tire pressure, found a loose oil cylinder hanging lost screw + fixed it, etc. Put tag on window showing next oil change plus programing it in my car's computer system. Did all this in short time. Will go there again.”

“I'm glad I found Don and Adrian at Shafter Transmission & Smog. They run a great shop, I'm impressed. I came to them with a common repair for my pickup. Don was already familiar with the complex issue I was facing. I saw that he chooses lift the cab off the frame to get easy access to all the parts around the engine. All the other shops around me wanted to work on the issue through the engine bay. I came to him knowing there was that one issue. After lifting the cab, he found a couple other chronic problems I couldn't see on my own because they're buried deep in the engine bay. My pickup is known to have these issues at this age. Adrian quickly updated me on the revisions to the original quote and got the needed parts right away. Don sent me photos and video clips along the way to help them explain the findings. Don and Adrian earned my trust with their transparency, integrity and fair pricing. Their shop is 100 miles one-way from home - I'd gladly drive to Shafter again if I needed it for another car.”
“THANK YOU ANTONIO AND YOUR SON! We were charged $450 by the Jeep dealer to diagnose our Jeep as getting antifreeze into the block and need to replace the engine for $12,000! She only has 80,000 miles on her!! We were told by some friends to get a second opinion, so we went to 3 shops in Shafter. First one the gal told us yes those are throw away problem engines but we dont do that.. 2nd nice young man was booked 1 1/2 weeks out..so we went to A&R Auto Shop. Antonios son put his little machine on her to diagnose the problem and said it was something else. Left my Rosie there and 2 days later we drove her out with new spark plugs and ignition coil and no caution lights on. They saved me $11,000!!! Thank You and your son Antonio!!! We will be back!”
